Farlians are a humanoid alien species native to the destroyed planet of Farlia. Due to their
transient culture , many Farlians have married and intermingled with people of other species so a minority of the Farlian population has mixed heritage. This page refers to the physiology and traits belonging to full-blooded Farlians, and mix-species Farlians may have a diluted version of these traits.
Physiology
Farlians are very similar in appearance to humans and other humanoid species, standing on average around six feet tall with five digits on each hand and foot. They have blue or purple skin ranging from pastel purple to deep blue, they also tend to have speckle and spot-like patterning, particularly around the top of the forehead near the hairline, the back of the arms, and along their back.
Farlians tend to have square or rectangular faces, with strong browbones and noses. Farlians also have pointed ears and ridges on their nose and cranium. They have external ears that appear similar to human ears.
Farlian hairlines tend to be quite high due to their facial ridges and most of their hair grow in a strip along the top of their scalp, like a mohawk with some not having any along the sides of their skull due to their ridges. They also grow facial and body hair. They have hair in many colors, with the most common being dark bluish or purplish colors sometimes with lighter highlights.
Falians have very strong eyesight, able to see in near darkness quite easily, similar to how cats can see in the dark, this makes them more sensitive to sudden changes in lighting and bright light in particular. They have larger irises than other species due to this and their pupils expand and contract to a greater degree. Their irises come in a wide variety of colors but brown and black tend to be the most common colors.
They have blueish-purple blood which may be a factor in their skin tone. Their blood color also causes them to have blue, sort of navy-colored bruising and skin abrasions.
Other Traits
They have very similar life spans to humans, on average only living to be around ninety to a hundred years old.
