The Nadeshi Riverlands

The Nadeshi Riverlands are a region in the east of Palabran. They comprise the territories formerly controlled by the Nadeshi queendom. They are made up of vast, old-growth deciduous forests growing up along a profusion of rivers and streams.

Flora

The riverlands have a unique flora pallet compared to the rest of Palabran. Rowing down Nadesh's streams and rivers—it's not uncommon to see saw palmettos, maples, birches, and oaks. A variety of beautiful flowers—including morning glories, orchids, and poppies. Alchemists and apothecaries note the presence of beard lichen, blood moss and wild hyssop—which have healing properties—and moonseed, sulphur tuft, and water hemlock—which are poisonous.

Fauna

A number of species call the Nadeshi Riverlands home. Major predators include alligators, crocodiles, black bears, and Nadeshi tigers—who are undoubtedly the apex predators of the region. A number of cetaceans and ungulates also call the riverlands home—including the Nadeshi manatees, Nadeshi elephants, Nadeshi river dolphins, Palabrani deer, and water buffaloes.

Other animals that call the riverlands home include birds like storks, herons, and spoonbills; small mammals like river otters, marsh rabbits, skunks, and weasels; and reptiles like geckos, iguanas, rattlesnakes, and water snakes.
