That Day

  I bet you've been wondering how I got here to begin with. Well, I think it is more amusing for myself if I let you figure that out for yourself. My business partners may be more willing to talk about it openly however. Feel free to take any guesses you'd like, I'll let you know if you're right or wrong... I am not evil, after all. Hoo-oo.  

Shade's Shop

  Ah, my little shop? It used to be so much larger, so much more adequate. This is merely what I was able to bring with me this time. Perhaps after I am let free from this box I'll be able to properly equip you once again. Trust me, a castle is much more fitting my goods. In fact it was barely large enough to fit my collection of 402,380,103 books I had at the time, which to be honest it was quite the down size from my previous amount.... Ah, but that is talk of something that is no more. Let us hope that one day I can provide rail guns, whips of avarice, and swords of light and shadow once again. What? What is a rail gun you ask? Perhaps you should ask your 'Eastern Nation,' I hear they are already developing such things.  

How can I be trusted?

  Can anyone truly be trusted? Perhaps not, but allow me to say this: I don't dream nor hope for power, as I've already learned power alone cannot change fate. I simply wish to be able to provide opportunities that may be of great aid to you, which unfortunately I am unable to give from within this little realm I created.  

What should I do next?

  Take up my little side quest hoo-hoo. I expect you'll be able to free me... at your current going rate... within about eight more months time. Your progress has been slow but not entirely unexpected, three hours is hardly enough once every few weeks after all. I have full trust that you'll soon be able to find the keys, I did leave them in places you could find through Xara's Stellar Engine after all. Until then, I'll be awaiting your return under my flickering flames chromatic light...

Shade's Shop

  Making up the main hub of 'A Familiar Place,' Shade's Shop is one of the few coherent landmasses left floating in the ceaseless void. It offers just about anything you can think of and all non-artifact magical items, armors, weapons, etc etc, from Pathfinder 2e, Starfinder 2e, and certain third party equipment lists are available here for sale. It's the first place you visited, and serves as the central hub for you to enter into A Familiar Place and launch expeditions from.
