Masks of Harrime
Founded in (insert date here) by the Ki'Eoramenae named Harrime, after who it was named, the Masks of Harrime were created to thwart any plans of Du'Raga.
The Masks are one of the most elite military units to exist. Because they were founded to fight members of the higher and mid level races, only members with incredible abilities are allowed. There are only a handful of members who are unable to use magic, but because most recruits come from magic potent races, this is quite rare.
Before a recruit can actually begin their training, they a test must be taken in order to asses how much magical power they actually posses. Recruits are often used to be houses of older spirits who lie dormant or are being repressed. This practice allows the members to greatly boost the amount of magical power they have. Some members are even the offspring of a Middle and Lower race, which grants they amazing natural power without having to house a spirit. In special cases, individuals are able to join upon recommendation. Usually individuals are scouted and recruited at the age of seventeen, though there are exceptions, both younger and older.
Within the Masks of Harrime, there are ten tribes who watch over the continent of Atalana. Each tribe watches over specific areas of the continent, and three watch over the magic anomaly areas of the Crater of Ukaros, The Pool of Tenanya, and the Crown of the Ark'angellis.
While most members are capable of fighting of fighting most regular opponents one on one, they never go solo unless specifically commanded to do so. Masks are split into squads of seven, which in some circles is considered to be a heretical number. Although there are only a few specifically designated positions in each squad, there are unofficial terms that most Masks fit into. Including the unofficial positions, they are the Arengaru, which roughly translates to "He who's mask is true," and is the leader of a squad; the Tekami, which is named after the ability to peer into all realms simultaneously, this squad member has exceptional awareness and detection abilities; the Aielli is the member with strong regenerative and enhancing abilities, as well as being the most adept at exorcisms, despite being stronger than average soldiers, they don't usually enter combat themselves, but support their allies instead; the unofficial position of brawler is a position for members who are able to absorb lots of blows, and able to deal a reasonable amount of damage (in comparison to their squad mates that is), blooders are the members of the squad that usually end up most hurt, but are also able to unleash enormous amounts of physical and or magical power, though they often end up injuring themselves as a result; and the artista, whose powers of creation allow them to construct amazing structures.
The Arengaru, Tekami, and Aielli are the only official squad positions, and must be filled in order to form a proper squad. The unofficial positions are often filled, but are not required for the formation of a squad, and there are occasionally multiple of an unofficial positions in a single squad. Squads are usually decided at the start of their training, though they are sometimes re-arranged depending on members compatibility. At the end of their training, the squads are finalized, and recruits begin their missions.
Among the Masks, the most powerful individuals make up a group called the Divine Masks. The Divine Masks are the elite of the Masks of Harrime, being both more skilled, and generally, containing more magical power than the average Mask. This is because the Divine Masks are meant to oppose higher threats than even regular Masks are capable of handling. All the members of the Divine Masks are specially trained in exorcism and spirit combat.
Structure
The Masks of Harrime have a loose hierarchy based on experience and magical skill and power. From the highest down, the rankings are: Holy, Diamond, Gold, Silver, and Bronze; these are each divided into three more sections, junior rank, normal, and senior rank. There are various other rankings for designated positions, among these are the Cardinals, Imperials, Aide, Trainer, Divine, and Inquisitors. Although they do not command squads or tribes of their own, these special positions rank above all but the Holy Masks.
The Ark'arengaru is the highest ranking member of the Masks of Harrime and is one of the Holy Masks. The Holy Masks form the council that decides the measure of threats and assigns missions to the various tribes and squads, as well as the leaders of each tribe. Beneath the Holy Masks are the Aide Masks. The Aide's do not actually have command over anyone else, rather they take care of all the day to day and organization necessities of the organization. Diamond Masks help the Aide's with some of the organization, but they deal more with the Holy Masks and direction those beneath them. Each Diamond Mask is in charge of three enotoi, which have five squads in them.
The rest of the Masks are simply ranked in their squads and relative to each other by their rank. Generally speaking, squad leaders are at least rank Silver, but exceptions are made during the formation of a squad. While squads interact with each other often, Masks usually spend the most time with their squadmates.
Culture
Among the Masks of Harrime is cultivated a culture of extreme trust. Because no one other than their fellow Masks know exactly what it is they do, and who they truly are, there is an intense comradery between members. Masks tend to see themselves as the protectors of those around them, since they are guarding them from threats of higher races. There also tends to be a slight amount of distrust for outsiders, though it is usually overcome if the Masks spend any amount of time with the individual.
Inside the organization, there is great respect for the higher ranked members, as they have proven themselves through experience and growth of power. Trainers and Holy Masks are especially respected. This is because Trainers are often former squad members who have either grown to old to serve out in the field, or were injured and can no longer work in the field.
Masks also have great respect for the spirits they are meant to put down. They are aware that they are simply the wisps of consciousness or remainder of life force of higher races. A prayer is often said before a spirit is exorcised.
Public Agenda
Although it is not necessarily hidden that the Masks were formed for the thwarting of Du'Raga, the most common thought is simply that they are protectors of the people. If anyone asks a Mask, they will inform them of their regular duties which is to dispose of and exorcise unwanted and harmful spirits. Generally, Masks will only tell about Du'Raga if asked directly.
Assets
While there is a main base of operation, the Masks tend to be quite spread out. They have ten compounds, each spreading over several acres. Often they are built in local capitols. The main headquarters are quite large, and it even contains it's own small castle. The wealth of each tribe is dependent on both the contributions of the nearby lands, and the amount of contracts they are able to procure, but even the poorest are fairly well funded.
While it would be generous to call it so, some say that the Masks posses a small fleet. In reality it is a collection of small ships that were gifted to the organization.

Although the Masks are mostly concerned with the supernatural dealings in Atalana, they also hold significant political and religious power. It was because of their political power that both the Imperial and Inquisitor Mask titles were created. Imperial Masks generally serve high ranking members of society, whether they be actively in politics, like a councilor in the My-Kante States or tribe leader of the Kala, or simply a wealthy noble. Their role is to protect their clients from any supernatural being, and to guide them if a summoning is needed or attempted. Occasionally Imperial Masks also serve as professors at prestigious universities.
Inquisitors also work with nobles and high ranking members of society; however, their job is quite different. They are meant to hunt down and exorcise and spirit or shade that was summoned and lost control, or take care of anyone who is either causing spirits or shades unneeded harm, or using them to cause panic and chaos. In some nations, they are even granted the authority to do what they deem fit in any situation, with almost the whole nation under their jurisdiction.
While Imperial Masks are often welcomed into high society on account of their helpfulness and the sense of security they provide, Inquisitor Masks are often shunned and even hunted because of their unpopularity. Seeing either position in public is still a rare sighting for someone who is not used to their presence, as their magical power is often noticeable to even those who are not adept at magic.
Throughout the ages the Masks have distinguished themselves as being able to recruit some of the most potent and powerful magic users. The list includes nearly a dozen Godkillers, and many other powerful
