The Pool of Tenanya

The Pool of Tenanya formed when the two sisters Tenan and Ayna fought each other. As they were both at one time archangels, and two of the most powerful Eorame and Koltoros, they were the only ones fit to fight each other.   Despite being on opposing sides, the two sisters loved each other. When they fought, their intimate knowledge of each other meant the fight was incredibly difficult, as the sisters could count each other almost perfectly. Their footsteps caused a depression to form in the earth, and as the two battled, they nearly destroyed each other. After fighting for seven days, the two were drained of almost all of their magical power. Once they had both lost all magic power, the two held each other, crying as their ichor flooded the earth.   Although their souls left to Akaros and Ak'arundul, respectively, but their bodies stayed on Atalana. The resulting lake was flooded with the tears and ichor of the sisters. The mix contained the magic of both sisters, but their wills constantly clash. Any magic that is used in the area will both align and conflict with one of the sisters, resulting in a warped spell that is monstrously powerful. Creatures near the lake are often born with magical attributes, and anyone who drinks the liquid from the lake will often gain magical attributes as well as a boost in power.
