Tekami

The Tekami was a special ability given to Solut by Eoldyn. It was a third eye that allowed Solut to gaze through all realms. Although simple, it's power is unrivaled. The Tekami allowed Solut to pierce even places that were sealed from sight by magic. Along with being able to gaze into all realms, it gave him unparalleled powers of observation, which allowed him to see the intentions, abilities, and magic. This incredible ability gave Solut an unrivaled tactical advantage on the battlefield.    Although it was usually covered by his golden hair, the Tekami was placed in the middle of Solut's forehead. Described by the Ki'Eoramenae as single dot of radiance in the midst of pure void. Whenever Solut gazed upon someone, it was said that it was if their very soul was being peered into, that every thought, wish, and emotion was under scrutiny.   While it was a completely unavoidable skill, it also required unimaginable amounts of power. Whenever the Tekami was used to its fullest extent, Solut would have to fall into a sleep that would allow him to restore his power.      In modern days, most Tekami techniques are fairly limited, since most magic users have neither the skill, nor the raw magical power that Solut possessed. In addition, they are not true Tekami, but rather abilities that mimic the original Tekami. For the most part Tekami are able to either see through matter, sense magic, or peer into ones soul and magic. With training, those who posses a Tekami can use multiple of these attributes.    Modern Tekami does not appear constantly, as Solut's did. Instead, when called upon, the appear in ones eye, and in the rarest of occasions, a third eye may appear on an individuals forehead. Often, they appear as eyes that are red or purple, and have various designs, depending on the users specific Tekami abilities.

Side/Secondary Effects

Because the use of Tekami relies heavily on magic, ones own eyes, and mental abilities, the after affects of using Tekami can be quite draining. Overusing ones Tekami usually results in in damaging ones eyes, then in the decrease of ones magical abilities, and finally the loss of ones cognitive functions.

Manifestation

Other than a change in ones eye color and design, there are no outward signs of a Tekami being used, though other Tekami users and anyone wielding a defensive spell can sense a Tekami being used.
Range
True Tekami has no limit, though modern Tekami techniques are fairly limited in range, usually to no more than a mile.
Level
Very few magic users posses any sort of Tekami ability, and most are practically useless anyway. Those who posses any kind of useful Tekami also posses incredible skill in most other areas of magical affinity.
