Ignari

"Exiles of the Sun, Heirs of Its Flame"
— Ignari Motto

The Ignari are a radiant and disciplined people, known for their structured empire, ancient bloodlines, and deep connection to the sun. Their skin ranges from warm bronze to a touch of silver, with dark hair and expressive features which are often marked by otherworldly beauty—some are born with subtly pointed ears or eyes that faintly glow, said to reflect the divine spark carried in their blood.

Magic

The gods of the Ignari wield powerful restoration magic. Among them walk the Enlightened—awakened individuals with sharpened senses and the power to bolster allies. They draw strength from the rejuvenating flow of their ancestral magic, enhancing perception and vitality not only for themselves, but for those they fight beside. However, this life-giving energy can be turned outward, becoming a searing, destructive force in times of need. Enlightened are honored—and feared—as both saints and weapons.

Empire of the Sun

Their empire is vast and ever-expanding, not only through conquest but through assimilation. Refugees, exiles, and shattered cultures often find refuge within Ignari borders—welcomed, absorbed, and reshaped. To the Ignari, integration is a form of conquest, and Solaris, their capital, stands as a testament to that vision: a sprawling city bathed in golden light, nestled in a fertile valley and watched over by the towering citadel of Arx Solis, ancient seat of their gods. Not far lies the city of Mizia.

History

According to Virgil, the Ignari once waged war upon the ancient Ailia and slayed their God-Matriarch. With her dying breath, the goddess laid a binding curse upon the invading gods, forcing them to lose what they held most dear by binding it to their sins. The stronger the sin, the heavier the loss. For Virgil, it was his once fair skin and his devotion to the sun—both of which were stripped away. Since then, he has wandered in shadow, a creature of sorrow, exiled from the light he once embodied.

Though the Ignari claim victory, the curse lingers—its price quietly shaping the fate of their god-blooded descendants.
