Ailia
The Ailia are a proud, tribal people from the western reaches of the world. Their complexion ranges from deep brown to black, their features bearing the strength and grace of a heritage rooted in tradition and vision. Their culture is woven from the threads of oral wisdom, ancestral guidance, and a spiritual bond with shadowed forces.
Magic
Ailia blood carries the gift of Divination, Darkness, and Binding—three intertwined magics passed through generations. Those born Awakened are known as Fateweavers, marked by their ability to foresee possible futures and bind foreign magics to their own bodies like living trophies, ready to wield them at will. Their very skin becomes a canvas of claimed power. Shadows cling to them like familiars, and silence is often their sharpest weapon.
History
According to the Ignari god Virgil, the Ailia were defeated in a war some 80 years ago, their fall marked by the death of their God-Matriarch, Anansi. Yet whispers persist that the Ailia spirit was not broken—only scattered.
Among their known divine figures are Maasinta, a matron goddess, and her benevolent son Nelson.
Though few in number today, the Ailia walk unseen paths—watching, weaving, waiting.
