Riven (Riv-in)

The Luscious Nation of rolling meadows and verdant forests. The land is known for its beautiful natural scenery and their orders which devote themselves to protecting them. Villages and towns scatter the land making travel through the region less risky as you are no more than a couple of days from a settlement. The farming of the kingdom is prosperous, often referred to as the bread box of the country. Druidic rumours share that the lands will never go hungry as the land provides.
The capital is a Tudor-style castle surrounded by a fortress with its citadel, a thriving city. The ruling Structure is led by three different parties forming an oligarchy. The first seat is held by the current successor of the Royal lineage and must have the people's trust. The Lord of Merchants holds the second seat and is voted in as a speaker by their council within their guilds. The final seat is taken by the three druidic orders, one of each attending the council meetings concerning the treatment of nature and the natural order. The Druids speak amongst themselves and elect one of them to speak on their behalf.
The nobility holds significant power over the people but has no sway in the courts other than directing public opinion through politics. Each family Noble of the kingdom traces their roots back to the formation of the country they adopted their names upon the foundation of Riven.
The main Imports are cultured items and historical artifacts, metals, arms and armour. The main Exports are all forms of flowers and food, lumber, artisan and common goods, and literature.
Plenty of Merchants and Druids hail from Riven, some leaving to pressure their calling out in the world. The druids don't fall under city laws, as the circles are governed by their elders.
The army consists of foot soldiers and cavalry. The Pale Riders are a decorated specialized unit which brings fear to the battlefield and is concerned with national defence. Goliaths and Half-Orcs rarely find places of higher command due to their status as slaves but are forced to enlist at their master's behest. Spellcasting in the area is usually from the druids, though some citizens attend the Bardic Colleges or The Felldawn Academy.
