Pantheon of Gods
The Gods are individual beings of great but limited power, they can be killed and have flaws as well as redeeming features. After the death of two gods who fought each other the gods tend to try and keep themselves away from harm and control the world from afar.
Gods:
Caurus (deceased) - God of forests: His death caused shards to rain down on his chosen people who resided in the forests of the north and each one was imbued with a fraction of his power, increasing their lifespan, dexterity and build. These blessed became what was known as elves.
Allowin (deceased) - God of Beasts: Upon death the essence of the god was spread throughout the world and manifests in beasts across the land, occasionally it will appear in a beast in much larger quantities and make that animal much stronger, faster and smarter.
Clothir - God of Deceit: Whereabouts unknown. Their last known sighting was by palace guards who swore they saw a man matching previous descriptions just before that man assasinated the last king of The Varisar kingdom. He is known to help criminals and tricksters.
Hallvard - God of Pride: The founder of Ulgard, he is responsible for the rise of the city and its growth. He personally designed and constructed the large citadel and cathedral in the city.
Diarmund - God of Triumph: Often takes part in battles but will only support a side as long as they are winning, if it looks like they might lose they will either switch sides or leave the battle.
Octavia - God of Mercy: The God of mercy takes pity on those in the most pain and frees them from suffering. One of the most powerful gods as they can be anywhere all at once, their power is spread across the world.
Cuhlain - God of Battle: This god often appears as a commanding general or warlord who will command the army to fight as long as possible and will engineer the battle to have no simple conclusion.
Landreich - God of Justice:
Ealar - God of Rebirth: The ferryman of souls to the after life, they make sure that all things that fie reach their correct position in the afterlife. They also are responsible for the eventual rebirth of gods and intervene if someone were to attempt to make that impossible.
Sythyx - God of the Depths, The Watcher in the water: Mainly worshipped in coastal cities and towns such as Highfall and Lhegar .
Laurin Veritos - God of Dragons: She was once just a human mage but through a pact with a dragon made a bargain to extract a tithe of years and power from every new dragon that is born. Through this her power has increased over the years to the point where she is a considered god.
Nasir - God of Fortune: Nasir resides in inhospitable places such as deserts or mountains, when people are lost he finds them and offers them a bargain that in exchange for the fortune of finding a way out now such as an oasis or clear pathway they will have bad luck later on in their life but not know when. He often acts as a patron for warlocks who cash in their fortune for power now and hope to avoid the bad later on. He is also the patron of a order of clerics who guide people through mountain passees.
Tempus - God of Seasons: Tempus is the most powerful of the gods but they does know he is a God. Every season they changes personality and form and wakes up with no knowledge of the past 3 seasons. Everywhere they goes the season is amplified, winters get colder and summers hotter. They are currently in the south of Sirona around the city of Nawe acting as blacksmiths assistant.
Tambor - God of knowledge: Tambor resides in the Tannaman Empire in the city of Balay where he is worshipped. He appears as a large man with dark skin with white hair that flows down to his waist, often depicted with a book and a torch. A book to represent the giving of knowledge and a torch to mean the destruction of dangerous information. He is one of the most active gods and often grants powers to his followers, these are called the Ginera and their powers can vary in power. With potential severed it is unknown how Tambor gives these gifts Although he rules the Tannaman empire he takes a backseat and prefers to spend his time researching preferring to delegate the day to day running to the two most powerful of the Ginera Sinan Dios and Althea Dios. Eldrian the heart of the world: The god of earth and heat, this god has made a pact with the kings of the The Varisar kingdom to assist in growing their crops and keeping the land fertile. In exchange they demand that the king sacrifice people by pushing them into a volcano at the heart of Ulkilde. Eldrian also has their own group of orc warriors to act as their hand in the world, called the brotherhood of ash, as they are currently bound to the molten lake in the volcano. Ti
