Mezei (Me-zii)

Origins

Though her origins are unknown, Mezei is often portrayed as an elderly crone with a large black cloak. On the inside of the cloak, are words written in dozens of languages, and it's said each person reads a truth they've forgotten about themselves. Though she is rarely claimed to be sighted, her followers may dread seeing her, as she reveals where a collection of knowledge is hidden that requires one to risk their life to claim it. To reject her offering of knowledge is to be an outcast, and the knowledge is seemingly lost forever. More devout followers even claim that until the knowledge is claimed, the bloodline of the seeker will be cursed with visions of the dark place.

Places of Worship

Mezei does not have others construct temples or shrines for her worship, but entire villages. Depending on the secrets being kept, the nature of the location built, and skills of her followers, these can vary wildly in appearance. Though it is not clear how many of these villages exist, it's suspected to be in the realm of 2 dozen. These villages often do not display her symbol or any outward proof of their devotion, instead manifesting their faith in the people that live there.

Followers

Mezei's followers are often made of hermit societies that desire to ferret away information and knowledge until sought out by a chosen seeker. They often build their settlements directly on locations of note, such as ruins and old temples, turning away any from outside the faith. As a result, one is typically born into the faith and is expected to uphold it. Leaving these societies for nearly any reason often means the one who leaves is left with nothing, no family, wealth, or home.  

Hidden Domain

Mezei controls a hidden location with few entrances within Sinstram. A massive circular library with countless floors with seemingly no stairs that would allow access to each level. A massive central hole criss-crossed by bridges allows one to see impossibly far up or down. Large Wereravens freely fly around the library, collecting and cataloging information.
