The Memorandum of House Iron Heart - Full Plate Armor Set
Description:
Never a piece of armor destined for ceremony, instead one built to announce the presence of those who wore it and force all those around to bear witness. Two prominent sigils stand out across the armor, the front designed with a beautiful hammer dipped in crimson metallic red blood and bright white colorium wings keeping it afloat on the chest. While the back seems to carry the sigil of House Iron Heart from the Niwarves homeland on Crakec. The two sigils seem to glimmer with magic, while the hammer seems to create a flow of mana throughout the air anytime a high spell is cast. The armors cobalt plates cut through storm and darkness alike, outlined in adamantine and etched with scenes of trade routes that crossed battlefields and bargains struck in the ruins of wars. Each image is painted in colorium, vivid and unsettling, as though memory itself were trapped beneath colorium and cobalt. With more than four hundred plates interlock across the set, each one slightly mismatched, as if assembled across lifetimes rather than forged all at once. At night, when the plates darken to a deep silver-blue, the armor’s silhouette becomes unmistakable to creatures of Limbo, the outline of an ancient predator, one that once taught slaadee obedience through drink, contract, and force of will.
Item Effect:
This Full Plate acts as a +4 (Medium) Cobalt & Iron Heart Full Plate. This armor has gained the Troll Wild Effect very time you are hit with a critical spell attack, you gain a random wild magic effect. Note curse section for further effect.
Helmet
Summary: +5 Diplomacy or +5 Intimidation, +5 to all craft checks, Mind Shielding 2\day at 10mins\caster level
Description: Shaped in the traditional styling of a dwarven sugarloaf helm. It is noted to have a moving visor that can be shifted up and down at will while also having an inner leather band with goggles that have been reinforced to ensure ease of movement even in the field of battle. Allowing its user to bring down the goggles or push them up with a simple movement of there nose or hand.
Effect(s): Due to the materials used, this item gains a +5 to diplomacy when the visor is up, and a +5 to intimidation when down due to the strange red glow from the diamonds within the goggles. Almost as if the color of hydra blood, those who see it on the field of battle depict it as if hatred had manifested within the eyes. This also gives the user a +5 to all craft checks that require close inspections due to the enhancement of the diamonds on the wearers vision. The wearer can also activate twice per day the items innate mind shielding effect that lasts currently 10min \caster level
Materials: Iron's heart (Bearhound, Smilodon, Hydra), Cobalt, Small amounts of adamantine, Composite leather weave (Hell Hound, Storm Giant, Cobalt Dragon), a diamond
Chest
Summary: Freedom of Movement 1\day, Resist Energy (self only) 3\day, Water Breathing permanent (can temp dispell)
Description: With its bright cobalt as the base of each plate shining through even in the whitest of blizzards. Its adamantine trim designed to tell the story of a group called "The Iron Heart Merchant Company", each plate having a colorium painted scene depicted on it. With over four hundred plates, it seems the armor is yet to be complete. Though many tales are depicted across it of the adventures this divine smith, many can't help but wonder what the large hammer made of crimson red iron heart metal at the central chest is. Seemingly glowing moderately whenever worn by a cleric, the hammer seems at first unremarkable as nothing more then a center piece of the armor. But paladins and clerics alike have stated they could see strange runes written within the hammer, runes that guided them to great crafting achievements. Now the hammer is even said to show beautiful sapphire and ruby like liquids flowing from it and all around those gifted or blessed by mana itself.
Effect(s): Due to the materials used, this item grants the ability to cast Freedom of Movement once per day, it also grants the user the ability to cast Resist energy on themselves 3\per day. While wearing this armor you water breathing as if continuously caste on you, it can be dispelled but will auto recast your following turn.
Materials: Iron's heart (Bearhound, Smilodon, Hydra), Cobalt, Small amounts of adamantine, Composite leather weave (Hell Hound, Storm Giant, Cobalt Dragon)
Gauntlets
Summary: 5 Fire Resistance, 5 Electric Resistance, 5 Cold Resistance, All items crafted get +1 enhancement upon completion, 1d6 force damage when used as weapon, 1 per day attack reroll (before confirmation of hit)
Description: Two large fingered gauntlets that seem to be mostly made from a composite leather weave that glows a deep reddish when in the cold and changes to a cold blue in the heat. These guantlets are plated with a mix of Iron Heart and Cobalt with finger plates of yellow colorium with adamantine joints allowing for full movement of each finger. Each finger seems to have a cut out section awaiting the placement of a ring or gem within it, however currently they instead seem to have adamantine caps placed over them. Granting the gauntlets a more menacing appearance as the leather not only changes color but so do the plates on the gauntlets. Changing which story is depicted upon them depending on the color.
Effect(s): Due to the materials used the user gets a 5 Fire Resistance, 5 Electric Resistance, and 5 Cold Resistance. With the yellow colorium not only making the items look like they are worth more but also blessing anything they work on with an increased value of +1 to there enhancement level. As well as granting a 1d6 force damage when used in an unarmed attack as the yellow colorium explodes outwards. Finally, once per day the user can take an attack roll (that he does not know the success of) and roll it again.
Materials: Iron's heart (Bearhound, Smilodon, Hydra), Cobalt, Small amounts of adamantine, Composite leather weave (Hell Hound, Storm Giant, Cobalt Dragon)
Leg armor
Summary: + 8 Move Silently, and Unable to be tripped or bullrushed, always set against a charge when wielding a medium or larger weapon, lose all swim speed when worn.
Description: Though the heavy plate leg armor would at first appear incredibly heavy or stiff, with a combination of cobalt and iron heart the metal seems to bend and move quite comfortably. The adamantine joint locks allowing for the armor to even stretch as one runs while not weighing it down by any means. The thick composite leather seems to wear almost like a set of natural britches, keeping the user warm in the winter and cool in the summers. The plates on the legs seem to tell of a strange tale however, one that shows the markings of James sitting at the court of an influential ice queen, while the other shows him shunning a farmer and his bee hives. A strange tale for one to wonder about what James is trying to convey.
Effect(s): Due to materials used the user gains a +8 to move silently as the bearhounds and smilodon iron heart seems to grant the metal an unnatural quietness to it. While also being heavy enough to grant its user the ability to hold strong in the face of a bullrush or catch themselves easily when they trip. However due to the design, it appears the wearer loses there ability to swim as the leg armor is even worse off then normal in water.
Materials: Iron's Heart (Bearhound, Smilodon, Hydra), Cobalt, Small amounts of adamantine, Composite leather weave (Hell Hound, Storm Giant, Cobalt Dragon)
Boots
Summary: +25 Movement speed (add on to base speed), can fly at walk speed (chaotic evil align aura when active), 2\day Expeditious Retreat (except within 30ft of moving natural water sources)
Description: Heavy metal sabaton boots made of a mixture of blue and red metal to create a beautiful purple swirl with gleaming red wings painted on either side of each boot. Giving an almost angelic appearance to the wings themselves, the boots are designed with colorium paintings depicting James rise to the rank of merchant prince and ascension through determination. While the wings painted on each boot seem to be designed into a yin and yang of a strange figure that each states looks different to them. Most see slaadee of different color, others see strange ice demons, and even holy men state they only see a skinny old goliath like figure watching from above. Regardless, the design seems to cause the boots to gleam with both holy and unholy light.
Effect(s): Due to materials used this item grants a +25 to the movement speed of the user, these boots seem to allow the user to also use the wings painted upon them though at a cost of while in use appearing as if (Chaotic Evil) aligned, and finally the item allows the user to twice a day cast Expeditious Retreat on themselves however they cannot do so while over or within 30ft of a natural moving water source (streams, rivers, lakes, oceans).
Materials: Iron's Heart (Bearhound, Smilodon, Hydra), Cobalt, Small amounts of adamantine, red colorium (for painted wings on the sides of the boots) Composite leather weave (Hell Hound, Storm Giant, Cobalt Dragon), Bearhound Paws
