The Boomstick

Description

This spear at first glance seems to be completely normal, its electric blue spearhead the only clue of its difference. The slightly translucent coloration, seems to have a sparkle underneath as if waves of water were sloshing about. When this item makes impact with a magical item or a spell effect, the item itself is said to have the spearhead expand out like an explosion. As if suddenly being punched by a large bowling ball of magical force, this spearhead will no longer be able to return to its normal size.
 

Item Effects:

This item works as if a normal spear, however when coming in contact with a spell, magic item or spell like effect, the spearhead will expand doing 1d8 worth of extra force damage. As well as roll a 1d100 to see if the item destroys or sucks up the magic around it.
