Ironheart Oath
Once a promise now turns to an oath, with the words "The Heart for our Allies, and the Iron for our Enemies." carved into the warhammer as if by magic itself. Though it is said that the words change language based on the individual looking upon it, all state that it says the same. The warhammer is said to rival that of the four great weapons of the first niwarves houses, showing James true intention behind his words. The Iron Heart shall rise, and the niwarves shall rise higher for it!
The warhammer blunt head is made from paladium with a golden edge that seems to gleam with small runes drawn across them in dwarvish. The hammer head is shown to be shaped like a stamp, leaving the imprint of IronHeart branded on those unfortunately hit with it. The handle is said to be covered with crested quilboar and have a shiny bronze coloration to it. The entirety of the item is rumored to be quite heavy for those inexperienced with dwarven warhammers, as the core of both the handle and head are said to be made of iron heart. Supposedly the iron heart itself has the divine mark of the smith with his name carved into it. Lastly it has two beautifully engraved diamonds that though show the hands of a novice, they still appear as high quality craftsmanship. Both sit on the cheeks of the warhammer itself, glimmering on the adamantine axe head whenever there spells are cast.
Item Effects:
Overall
This item acts as a +4 (Medium) Warhammer, with an hp of 40, and a hardness of 17, this item has 2 casts per day of Dispel Magic, that resets at dawn if used during prayer. The item can be used as an opportunity attack to cast the spell if the spell has a physical manifestation. I.e The warhammer can hit a fireball, but it can not hit words from power word kill. This item also allows the casting of Spikes and Mighty Wallop once per day, these can only be done on the players turn or reaction. This item also gains a +4 bonus on saving throws against acid, rust, or disintegration. This item crits on a 19-20 for bludgeoning damage only. At the beginning of each round you can blurstrike and attack the users flat-footed ac unless they do not rely on sight for combat. Anytime you swing, this item does a +1 point of damage for all slashing damage. When Mighty Wallop is cast, add +1 size category to weapons bludgeoning damage. While Spikes allows+2 damage\Casterlevel for wooden weapons.
Iron Heart
With an hp of 40, and a hardness of 17.
Adamantine Axe Head
This ultrahard metal adds to the quality of a weapon or suit of armor. Weapons fashioned from adamantine have a natural ability to bypass hardness when sundering weapons or attacking objects, ignoring hardness less than 20. Also due to the masterwork craftsmanship of James "The Iron Heart" himselfs own crafting, this item has increased by a further +1. This also allows the user to turn any bludgeoning damage into slashing so long as its declared prior to the dice being rolled.
Two Diamonds
Though not a master jeweler, these two sizeable diamonds have been set into the guard of the hammer quite well. A few scratches and chips have allowed them to maintain the two spells, but only allow a single cast per day of either. As both diamonds recharge at the beginning of the day. The two spells currently enchanted are Mighty Wallop and Spikes, see below.
Enchants
Below are a list of enchantments added to the item.
Acid Wash
Swords made from two or more metals are acid washed in order to bring out the contrast in appearance between the two metals. Although typically performed on bladed weapons, some experimental craftsmen have attempted to mimic the process with other metal weapons and armor. Acid washing creates elaborate and beautiful patterns on the surface of the weapon. Items created with the acid washed quality gain a +4 bonus on saving throws made against acid, rust, or disintegration. Restriction: May only be applied to metal weapons and armor
Impact
Any bludgeoning weapon enhanced by this ability has its threat range doubled. For example, a quarterstaff thus enhanced scores a threat on a 19-20, and a heavy flail scores a threat on a 17-20. This enhancement does not affect piercing or slashing weapons. (If you roll this property for an inappropriate weapon, reroll.)
Blurstrike
On command (a free action), a weapon with this special ability fades partially from view, appearing as only a faint outline, though the wielder can see it normally. When used in an attack, an activated blurstrike weapon (along with its wielder's hand and arm) appears as nothing but an amorphous blur near the wielder's body. The blurring effect prevents a foe from knowing exactly where the blow is aimed. The first attack made with a blurstrike weapon each round is made as if the target were flat-footed. Foes that don't rely on sight for combat (such as creatures with the blindsight special quality) and creatures with the uncanny dodge class feature retain their Dexterity bonus and dodge bonuses to AC against the wielder's attacks.
A blurstrike weapon can remain blurry for up to 10 rounds a day. The duration of the effect need not be in consecutive rounds; deactivating the effect is also a free action.
Razor Sharp
Some craftsmen can coax a superior edge from a blade. Swordsmen consider such weapons extremely valuable, as such blades not only slice into opponents more easily but they also stick within such foes less frequently. A bladed weapon with this item quality deals an extra +1 point of damage.
Spells
Mighty Wallop
Transmutation +1 size category of bludgeoning weapon. Range: Touch Sor 1, Wiz 1
Spikes
Transmutation, Wooden weapon grows spikes dealing, +2 damage/caster level (max +10), while doubling threat range. Range: Touch Clr 3, Drd 3
Curse
Unknown, but something within this weapon feels as if its beginning to stir. Those nearby can't help but feel a strange effect, almost as if one had been drinking prior to approaching the item. A slight dizziness and improvement of mood seems common amongst those of weak wills.
