Brittlewood

House Brittlewood stands as the guardian of Gale’s Eastern Wood, a vast and ancient forest that has provided timber, herbs, and game to the kingdom for centuries. Unlike the arcane or political powerhouses among Gale’s nobility, Brittlewood draws its strength from nature’s bounty, elven wisdom, and quiet diplomacy. It is not a house of grand armies or lofty spires, but of silent bows, patient stewards, and traditions that stretch far beyond the founding of the kingdom itself.   Predominantly composed of Wood Elves, House Brittlewood is unique among Gale’s six noble houses in its non-human leadership, yet it has historically maintained strong ties with humans through strategic alliances and intermarriage. One of the most notable examples is Duchess Mary Runeshire, who once held a high-ranking diplomatic position within Brittlewood before marrying into House Runeshire, bridging two worlds through grace and negotiation.
