    The Grain Rebellions
    Revolution

    Peasants in the central lands of Kelivar suffer several massive crop failures. Unable to cope and with aid from the Queen slow to arrive the peasants are riled up by a charismatic retired soldier by the name of Uthrad. Taking several key fortresses and several large towns the rebellion digs in, till nearly two years later it is finally defeated by the Royal army at Sunspire Keep.

    The Plague of Sartith
    Plague / Epidemic

    While the rebellions are finally being put down, a plague takes root in the cities and towns of Southern Kelivar. Rumors and tales are spread swiftly of its deadliness and symptoms. Clerics and Paladins of various gods in the region attempt to combat it, but find themselves overwhelmed with the numbers of afflicted individuals. Unable to contain it, the plague begins to spread rapidly throughout the kingdom. Numbers are unknown but rumors claim it could wipe out nearly half a city that it infected.

    Founding of the Order of Sunshield
    Founding

    While Kelivar was falling to ruins in front of their eyes. Many knights and nobles from neighboring kingdoms arrived at Narfin to try and safeguard those fleeing from the terrors. Many of these knights were followers of Pelor and Jehanna. To try and give hope to these beleaguered refugees and terrified peasants. They painted a blazing sun on their shields. Claiming that the light of the Sun and that the innocent would be shielded from the injustice occurring to them.

    The Prince's Rebellion
    Revolution

    Prince Jari Marikitos Keliv convinces several generals and noble families to support his claim to the throne early. Claiming that the Queen was cursed, and only through toppling his mother would the Kingdom be saved. However, despite these events the Queen still had many supporters in the heartland which had until this moment been shielded from many of the horrors that occurred. The Civil war was bloody and brutal, every inch being fought for costing far more life then it should. The Queen was victorious, and her son was executed for treason.

    The March of Sar'noth
    Disaster / Destruction

    With the dead in Kelivar most certainly outnumbering the living at this point. The Lich Sar'noth who was responsible for the plague showed their face. Creating an army of the dead and broken. It did not take much to rival the haggard forces of the Royal army. Pushed back to the capital the Queen supposedly led them in one final desperate stand against the unending waves of her former subjects. She was defeated, and Kelivars capital was occupied and remade to be the Lich's new lair and capital for their dominion.

    The End of Kelivar
    Disbandment

    The last remnants of the population of Kelivar flee in terror, either to the frozen north where monsters ensured their demise, or they fled east through the mountain valley pass of Narfin. Kelivar as a nation ceased to be. Conservative estimates of scholars believe 95% of the population of the nation were wiped out within this time frame.

    The fall of Sar'noth
    Life, Death

    Sar'noth is slain by one of his acolytes. Who then ascends to his place taking the Moniker of Kel'noth. He prepares his undead hordes to march east.

    The Battle of the Brilliant Sun
    Military action

    Kel'noth brings a legion numbering in the tens of thousands to face what at the time barely amounted to a few thousand men and women. What was categorized by at first several skirmishes culminated in battle on the outskirts of the hastily fortified village of Narfin. A miracle is said to have occurred that day as the knights were able to repel the overwhelming legions of Kel'noth, and drive the undead forces out of the valley.

    Construction of the Fortress of Sunshield
    Construction beginning/end

    Narfir is transformed over the next hundred years to eventually become a heavily fortified location. Several walls were constructed, eventually a moat was made and the fortress was made into a difficult to assail location.

    The Second Siege of Sunshield
    Military action

    Kel'noth returns with an even greater horde, however the fortress now created and its defenders more numerous hold his legions back. While the siege drags on for three long months, the defenders do not waiver and eventually through sallying forth lead by the Grand Protector Havrik the Brave. Kel'noth survived as was for to retreat.

    The Third Siege of Sunshield
    Military action

    Kel'noth strikes Sunshield once more, and while has more success and actually breaches the first two walls, is repelled and pushed back once more.

    The Sunspear campaign
    Military action

    Knight-Commander Varin leads a large force of volunteers into the heart of Kel'noths domain, reaching his very lair and through a bloody and swift campaign is able to defeat Kelnoth. Unfortunately Varin was lost in battle. The forces return believing that they had defeated their ancient foe and stabilized the region.

    Feylord Llewalyn arrives in the southeast
    Founding

    The Arch-Feylord Llewalyn arrives in the southwest and lays down roots of the Great Tree Adal'Nil. With it he spreads his influence the south eastern region with great haste, a great marsh and swampland overrunning the once relatively barren landscape. He sends a messenger to Sunshield...making his intentions clear and as such the two enter a state of war shortly after.

    The Unification of the Horde

    Under Clan Agnor, the bickering tribes and clans of the south western regions are brought together and unified. A great horde which looked east, and saw glory, blood, and fortune to be had.

    The Horde of Agnorak strikes at Sunshield, maintaining a two year long siege, but eventually are forced to retreat after suffering heavy casualties.

    Feylord Llewalyn lays seige to Sunshield
    Military action

    Feylord Llewalyn, and his forces lay siege to Sunshield. But unlike the hordes of undead, or the hordes of Agnorak. The Feylord introduces new dangers to the defenders. Including using magic to subvert the will of some of the knights and militia soldiers. As well as causing the terrain to shift and cause breaches in the walls. While this catches the defenders off guard. Grand Protector Ushtaba the Wise is able to combat the magic and lead a successful defense of the fortress.

    The Return of the Undead

    The new Lord of the Undead of Kelivar. Var'noth arrives at Sunshield. Laying siege to the fortress with uncanny knowledge of its strengths and weaknesses. Also the first sighting of more intelligent undead being used to lead smaller regiments of undead. While the force is defeated. It does worry the forces of Sunshield that they now have three foes to worry about.

    The Trial of 100 Years

    During this time. Sunshield was besieged on and off by one of three great enemies. It was a tumultuous period of time for the Order. Many lives were lost.. It is also during this time that the fame of Sunshield rose attracting would be knights, heroes, and other souls. Some searching to make their name known. Others wishing to help, and some just hoping to find purpose in the world.
