Revolution
Peasants in the central lands of Kelivar suffer several massive crop failures. Unable to cope and with aid from the Queen slow to arrive the peasants are riled up by a charismatic retired soldier by the name of Uthrad. Taking several key fortresses and several large towns the rebellion digs in, till nearly two years later it is finally defeated by the Royal army at Sunspire Keep.
Several major crop failures pushes the Kingdoms ability to feed its own people beyond its means. The Queen attempts to buy time via opening up storehouses to the public in the capital region, and also begins to organize a trade with the Empire of Vallonde to the south. The Empire seeing a chance to humble its only rival offers the trade at an extortionate rate. Negotiations slow as the Queens diplomats grow frustrated with Imperial Diplomats. Unfortunately, the people in the central regions of the kingdom see these efforts as failures and as too slow. Their people on the brink of starvation revolt and overtake several garrisons and access their food stores to survive. The Queen offered clemency to her desperate people asking them to lay down their weapons. But their leader Uthrad was not convinced and was paranoid of betrayal. With no deal in sight or peace in sight. The Queen raised her army and marched towards Sunspire keep to put down the rebellion. Retaking towns and forts as she marched. the rebellion was finally ended at the battle of Sunspire keep.
