Kingdom of Ormest
Ormest is a land of fate and predetermined outcomes. But also a land of merit. Those who grow up in Ormest will learn quite early on what their part in life is to play and be given avenues to achieve that purpose. If your Father or Mother possessed a certain trade. There is a high likelihood that you will end up continuing that trade, unless by the age of 16 you are able to prove abilities for a different trade. If so the the local Fate Reader will approve the request and push the person to going to master said skill. If one fails they are pushed back to their pre-determined track.
However if one shows a exceptional deal of potential at a young age the chance of ultimate greatness is opened up to them as they may be given exceptional tutoring and teachings to prepare them to possibly be the next King, or a high ranking individuals. A state and country where so much is determined so soon can be at times very productive and very restrictive. Its people however for the most part seem to be content with this.
Many outsiders might look in at this with some surprise and in some cases some appall. However the locals will draw comparisons to life elsewhere. They will explain that it is honestlly not much different. Many youths in other nations end up following in their parents trade, while a few will go further or into different trades. At least in the Ormestian System there is a better sense of promise and certainty.
