Siriande

Siriande is in all reality eight nations wrapped into the theory of one nation. Each County has its own laws, rules, traditions, and even cultural backgrounds. However Pressure from the east and the north drove these bickering nobles together under one umbrella. They were united by one charismatic lord from Siravon. Unified under a loose binding agreement that makes it so each county uses the same currency, that they keep a generally similar law on trade, and a mutual assurance to protect one another from outside aggressors.   The Confederacy is however not bound to play nice and peacefully with each other. Most of these lords have at one point or another waged wars between each other to steal away small portions of lands, border towns, increase their prestige, or more simply to just make a point to their neighbors.

Structure

Feudal Confederacy: Each lord and their lands are independent but they come together to agree on things which provide protection, and better economics for their lands as a whole. They chose one of their number to act a moderator, and a public face of their nation to other nations.

Territories

The Grand County of Siravon: The Capital Region of the confederacy. It is also one of the largest settlements. It is where the many counts of the confederacy meet to discuss affairs of the country as a whole. It is a large port city which sits on the banks of a river and the coast.   County of Suthravos: The second largest city Suthravos is ruled by Count Iglain Suthar. It is another large port and hub of trade. It is home to some of the finest horse country. Count Iglain at one point served with the Order of Sunshield and has taken his knowledge here to train his forces and is renowned for his heavy cavalry.   County of Tiravos: Tiravos is a lush county, filled with farming towns, villages, and known actually for its harvesting of salt near the coast. It is owned and ruled by Count Vesmar Ithil. This Tiefling lord is known for having a very large family where most of his sons and daughters aid in administering his rather large spread out county.   County of Rinros: Perhaps the most unfortunate county. It is located between a large swamp, and forest. Its people make their living harvesting lumber, or various plants and other materials from the swamp. Its people are hardy, but not the most welcoming to outsiders. Its Ruler, Countess Melisand Jaros is young and ambitious.   County of Bardaros: A relatively plain county, that delves into a bit of farming, mining, quarrying, and trade. Bardaros's most notable feature is its many little forts and castles which rest along the northern river. Count Eglar Vexir, is an old and hardened veteran of many smaller conflicts with their northern neighbor and runs a very tight shift.   County of Faoros: An odd county of religious and cultural importance. It is supposedly home to the oldest settlement in the region. It is home to a large cathedral which enshrines many artifacts and relics of many different gods. Countess Daria Sakalov is a pious soul and has made that much known to her subjects.   County of Sintros: A rocky county, located at the base of the mountains. Ruled by Countess Maria Dekaros. Her people are industrious and mostly work in mining, smithing, and crafting.   County of Nordavos: The most far flung of the counties, the County of Nordavos is Ruled by Count Adrian and Countess Lydia. Brought together by the marriage of two noble families, Nordavos is a younger county, and it has not made a major name for itself as of yet.
