Restio
Restio is the origin place where avatars and other objects are first spawned into the Rhizome Zone. First, player characters are spawned in Restio. Then, they are quickly transferred into starting point, where they are to reside until they are utilized by an agent or otherwise controlled.
Restio is a tiny virtual space akin to a small closet room. Things are built there directly, or coded into the game and ported in at that particular area. Then, a serious of anti-glitch tests are performed on the object to make sure it behaves appropriately in the world. Once all trials are completed, the avatar will be spawned out into starting point as it awaits for input from an operative profile.
This room is not very decorated. It is a simple area that is conducive to code. It is dark and allows for lighting at different angles as a part of testing, to make sure shadows are properly calibrated. Though the room is small, the background is black with grey grid lines that seem to be far away, but if in the environment, the avatar will not ever be able to reach the edge of the area.
When avatars are imported or created here, they are typically in a T-Pose position. They are normally completely nude and tinged a greyish color without very detailed skin textures or facial features. Different body shapes, heights, weights, and even slight species variations are often created or imported into the environment. This is done so that any operatives who are assigned to enter the Rhizome Zone can control an avatar that helps them feel as if they are still in the real world.
To create accurate avatars, many agents are placed in a 3d scanning machine beforehand so that the proper dimensions can be attributed to a character within the environment. This same process is used to make the operative's information profile that is later projected onto the blank avatars to make them look, sound, and feel like their real-world selves.
Climate
This area is very neutral by nature, but there are options to increase or decrease the simulated temperature and other environments so tath
