Medley

While full of fierce heroes, the city of Medley is less of a elite settlement and more of a vacation home for the adventurers who have earned their fortunes long ago. Due to this the city overall is rather laid back, but when there is a threat to their peace and tranquility the citizens work alongside the Gauntlet to restore it. Additionally, it has also became the place where many adventurers retire to after their days of quests and dragon slaying are behind them.   As one of the three cities of the Scorchlands, the duke/duchess of the settlement is actually a member of the Tribune as opposed to just a random general or relative to the royal family. Historically, the member of the Tribune coming from Medley has had less say than the members from Stratum or Ultribar since the other two have faced hardship far more often than Medley has. Additionally, the city is one of the few that has a positive relationship with both the Tribune and the Gauntlet since they rely on both of them to help keep the peace.   A major point of interest for the Scorchlands is the Medley Bard College which has trained some famous, and many forgotten bards. The shores of Medley are also well known as they are home to caves which due to their reverberation can capture a sound and play it repetedly for decades. The beaches are also home to many tourists and vacationers who wish to forget about the world outside the city limits.
