Vereus
The Shrewd Diplomat
The god of commerce and trade, Vereus is often worshipped by merchants, travelling traders, and nobles. He is often asked to bless and watch over businesses. In the Human Kingdom, he's often depicted as a plump nobleman sitting atop a pile of gold and other riches: he's always depicted with a smile and his trusty golden scales to weigh his earnings. He's known for his generosity towards mortals with good intentions.
The Orcs of Trenboral Peaks worship him differently, though: their depictions of him have him appearing as a muscular man with longer hair in a low ponytail, a beard, scale armor, a battleaxe, and a shield with the golden scales on it. This incarnation of Vereus is often shown with a sack full of gold slung over his shoulder wih the shield half-buried in the earth and leaning on the handle of his axe. The Orc tribes of the Peaks speak of him as a raider, delivering neccesary goods to both their people and the needy.
