Undead

The state of being between living and dead. Usually brought on by either a strong emotion bringing a spirit back from the dead or a Necromancer replacing the original soul by a mock soul, there are a few variations of Undead:

Corporeal: This type of Undead has a physical, organic form that is able to move to a degree, yet often lacks the original soul associated with it. Usually, it's in some state of decomposition.
Incorporeal: This form of Undead lacks a physical form, completely and often visualizes itself as a rotted, decomposed version of its former self. However, they can be forced to temporarily take a corporeal form through certain oils in order to damage them.

It often takes a skilled adventurer to bring down Undead pestering the innocent, as they often do not fight alone. Undead are easily dispatched when alone, but are usually faced in group called 'hordes'. Due to this, they can overwhelm a less experienced combatant. Due to dark-elemental magic energies bringing them into existence, Undead often have a weakness for its opposite: light-elemental magic.
