Richmond Grimm

A Rogue from a small town with a high crime rate, Richmond was one of Xander the Mad's most trusted generals. If the leader of the Ivoryvale Cult needed a target silently taken out, this man would be who he called upon. Richmond had a talent for blending in, and talking his way out of even the most dire situations. He trained some of the Cult's most terrifying spies: one would not suspect one of the monsters being in the midst until it was too late.   Richmond was but a street urchin in an attempt to survive. Before he met Xander the Mad, he was part of a thieves'  guild that he considered to be like family. Right as the monster arrived, the village had been suffering one of many attacks by a more evil-aligned Necromancer, who claimed the bodies afterwards, and thus robbed the people of their right to say goodbye to their loved ones. Xander the Mad arrived during one of these attacks, and jumped in as one of the tall, muscular Undead serving the Necromancer was dragging a helplessly struggling teenaged Richmond off by the ankle. The Paladin slew the beast, saving his life, and recruited the lad into the Cult in return. The hollow promise of it never happening to him again in the midst of his followers was enough: in truth, Xander the Mad had no intentions of ever protecting him, and often sent him head-first into danger as he grew into a man. This experience would leave Richmond with an almost crippling fear of Undead, which would only publicly show itself when Sayen managed to escape his arena of death.   The prospect of slaying a Necromancer was all too tempting for Richmond, and the rest of the generals bought him plenty of time to silently observe what made these four heroes so dangerous. In the midst of the night, him and his men approached the heroes'  camp. One by one, Sayen had to watch his friends disappear into capture by the Cult. Before he could react, a Cultist Witch Hunter blocked his use of magic, and Richmond had finally taken the entire group prisoner. With each prey captured, Richmond was careful to keep them apart, as he knew what a risk they were when they could fight together. However, he would make a crucial mistake: while he locked all four heroes in rooms designed to kill them in case they attempted escape, the room Sayen was captured in was made similar.    But in a moment that would prove fatal, Richmond decided to toy with him a little before his doom. He would fight Sayen, who had bonds on him that blocked the use of his magic. In the fight, the Necromancer managed to trick him into breaking the bonds that blocked his use of magic, and thus gained an advantage over him. While Sayen's dark-elemental magic didn't do much damage, it was his ability to drain the life out of someone to heal his own wounds that turned the tides. A feat that a Necromancer of his skill level shouldn't be able to achieve. In a bid to survive, Richmond struck from the shadows, feeling more and more life energy drained out of him after each dodged attack. Even when the mage was unarmed, he had deeply underestimated the enemy before him. Eventually, Sayen had Richmond cornered. The Rogue backed away in abject horror, cursing his enemy and swearing that he would never be allowed to revive his dead body. However, he had not noticed that he had triggered one of the taps in the room, and met his end by being impaled on one of his own spikes.
