Zhrava River
The Zhrava River bisects the Demon Wastes, and was once a central part of the Kolichev economy, allowing the flow of resources to and from Dmiskava and providing the irrigation for the heartlands' farms.
The Zhrava starts in the southern mountains and flows down, taking a winding path through the heartlands. It has broad, sandy banks and is almost a mile wide at points. Near the mountains, the Zhrava is fast and cold, but it slows along its winding path to the Dune Sea. Though it starts off pure, the river's waters are quickly befouled by
demon ichor runoff from battlefields and sullied by the presence of aquatic demons like wastriliths that stalk the river's murky depths.
Because of demonic presence, the Zhrava has become corrupted and is unsafe for non-Abyssal beings.
