Calamity

Watch the sun be consumed by darkness, and hope you don't survive to it's near consumption, or you will experience the most awe jawing and terrifying event Rygat has to offer. - Kraytos of The Opened Mind

When the black spot on the sun grows to nearly consume the whole sun, the Calamity will strike. At this point, Bringer of Calamity will appear and call on the Calamity Dragon. It takes a month for it to arrive upon being called, but once it does, the Calamity begins. The Calamity Dragon will float behind the blackened sun and begin to absorb the blackness, allowing the sun to shine once more. Though this sound like a great thing, it's the effect of it's appearance that is feared. For when it shows up, all Magic goes out of control, activating on it's own to creating a myriad of events over the course of the day it takes for the sun to clear. Such events includes devastating weather, alteration in geographical locations, people disappearing, appearance of new monsters and creatures or the alterations of them, and many more possible effects. There is never a way to know what will happen, making the month of preparation giving in advance rather useless but to spend the possible last month one has with those loved ones or finish projects to leave no regrets. After each Calamity comes a new Age for all who survived.
