Priesthood
I've never really been sure what to think of them, they appear only on the holy days and spend the rest of their time hidden away in the Hill College. When I did see them roaming around the city or the Palace Estate as a child their strange clothes and masks scared me beyond all reason, at least according to my brothers.
Career
Qualifications
They must be a fully qualified member of the Higher Order who has served their community well for many years. This position is usually given to older members who have proven their commitment to the profession.
Career Progression
They begin as members of the Higher Order and most people's careers end at this point. There are only twenty people in this group at any one time, new people are appointed when on old member retires or dies and the replacement is chosen by the remaining members.
Payment & Reimbursement
Their every need is taken care of by the school so they do not require personal payment or reimbursement for their work.
Perception
Purpose
They work at Hill College to train new members of the Higher Order so that they can appropriately take care of their communities when they are sent out into the world.
Social Status
This is a highly sought after role and they are respected greatly. These people hold a special place in the heart of our religion.
They have become less popular with some people due to the Long Wars as they are seen to have not suffered like the common people have. They are viewed as being on the same level as the nobility which is both beneficial and not depending on individual perception of this social class.
