Historical Details
Background
At the time it was written, wars had been ravaging the country for decades and a series of harsh winters had led to widespread starvation and famine in many parts of the country where farm land had been destroyed.
In the summer before this document was written, on one of the few trade shipments which was able to get through, a book of new thinking from the University of Newcity was brought to a young man who shared it with his friends. This new thinking gave them the idea that the country could be improved and so they resolved to take matters into their own hands.
History
The document sparked a short lived revolution which was put down in two bloody days once the violence broke out.
Public Reaction
Most of the city remained apathetic to the cause, unable to see how their actions could change the country at all.
Legacy
The principles of the document were used as the basis of creating a new country after the end of the Long Wars and the creation of the new form of governance.
