Marquess Iravhal Thenalamune
Irvahal Thenalamune is a young Goliath commander in the Lochensteinian military. He stands around 8'2" and weighs around 340 pounds and is colored similarly to the blue gray slate of his home range. He is the third born of house Thenalamune and a landed knight in their duchy. Coming from noble birth Ivrahal keeps himself clean shaven but allows his thick hair, colored coal, to fall to his shoulders. Though he bought rank six years ago (as is common among the nobility), his half-plate harness tells the story of someone who has been a soldier and knight since sixteen. The red and blue chevrons on his breast plate with the white Celtic spiral encased by three Adirondian lions in the center are chipped and fading. The pauldron on his right shoulder has a hand painted Northern Goshawk on it, the symbol of house Thenalamune. He wears an old battle worn banner of his mother's house round his waist as a sort of scapula. In battle he wears a plumed closed armet, and uses a kite shield. He keeps his sword at his side at all times. Irvahal won the sword in a duel from his eldest brother.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Iravhal is in peak physical condition, yet keeps trainng himself reletenlsly everyday with weapons, strength and conditioning, and also reading. He has sworn an oath to himself to bring glory to his family name and therefor does everything that he can to insure that his house recieves glory.
Body Features
He is tall, but not towering for a Goliath. His skin is a darker gray with some some blueish tenting as is normal for the goliath's of his area. He looks like living slate.
Facial Features
He is clean shaven, and not able to grow a full beard.
Identifying Characteristics
On the field of battle he wears a closed armet with Goshawk Feathers on either side of the helm. He also wears mithril half plate armor, that has an attached plated skirt with a chain mail habrauk and leggings underneath. He wears the banner of house Kolakithino as a scapula around his waist. He also wears a nobles cape, that bears his house symbol.
Apparel & Accessories
Irvahal's mithral half plate is painted with a chevron pattern of deep royal blue's and stunning reds. In the center of the plate is a white celtic spiral with the snarling faces of three Adirondian Lions circling the spiral. Iravhal addopted this symbol as an homage to House Kolakithino and the large feline predators of his marsh.
To protect his upper thighs he wears a plated battle skirt. His legs are incased in mithral bootes and greeves. His gauntlets are riveted and made of mithral as well. Underneath all of this he wears mail.
In battle he perfers to weild Autumn's edge and a kite shield.
Specialized Equipment
The sword Autumn's Edge is Irvahal's most prized possesion. It is a magical weapon that ignites with fire at a word. It will only attune to those of house Thenalumane who are worthy to wield it. This often decided via a duel and/or the feats of anyone who would wield it. In a humans hands the sword would be a neigh unwieldy two handed great saber, but in Irvahal's hands it is a light and nimble hand and half saber.

Iravhal Thenalamune is a young Goliath Commander in the Lochensteinian Military. Though he is relatively young for someone in his position, he was knighted some ten years ago, and has experience fighting since his 10th winter. At a young age Irvahal was sent to squire for and be raised by his maternal uncle. As the third son of a noble house he did not face many of the same pressures that his older brothers did. As he was not expected to rule, Irvahal was allowed to choose his own path in life. Yet the Thalamune name casts a long shadow that Iravhal has strived to live up to. Bold and vigorous as a child, Iravhal spent many hours training with his uncle Wathipp Kolakithino, who is also an accomplished duelist and master of arms. He loved the exercise and the burning in his lungs so much that, had his uncle let him, he would have not studied anything else but the martial disciplines. Fortuitously, Wathipp also forced him to exercise his mind as much as he pushed his body. He studied math, history, music and art, logic, philoshy, government, science, and different forms of management. It was his At the age of 10 Iravhal became his uncle's squire and they traveled often together. They participated in quelling the occasional rebellions against House Thenalamune and House Kolakithino. They also toured extensively in Nagoce, fighting to help keep that country free from being overtaken by the more aggressive nation to the east. At age 16 Iravhal was knighted and by age 18 he had won Autumn's edge in a duel against his eldest brother, the heir to house Thenalamune. Due to the upset in the duel and other factors, Irvahal's relationship with his eldest brother, Loromak, is somewhat strained. That same year he purchased his commission in the army. For the past several years he has been working his way up to general. Iravhal has some land holdings on a contested border with another nation.

Was tutored privately in the Kolakithino castle, as well as in the field with his uncle, Wathipp.

Character Location
Autumn's Edge is basket hilted hand and half sabre with a back edge that goes down a third of the blade from the tip. The basket, cross guard, and pommel are made of wrought iron and inlaid with red gold and copper depicting falling leaves and scenes of autumn. The handle is grooved chestnut with braided doe leather in the groves so as to better help the grip of the weilder in all weather conditions. The blade is folded crucible steel and adamantine with a flame pattern along the hamon. The blade is 60 inches in length with a distal tapper that comes to sharp point; it has an ever so slight curve. The weapon is as old as House Thenalumane and it's orgins are shrouded in mystery. Some say it was tempered with the blood of a dragon.
Were it not an exquisite weapon of war, the sword would almost certainly be featured in an art exhibit. Autumn's Edge is a devastating on the field of battle as it is beautiful. It is a versatile weapon perfect for both thrusting and slashing.
