The district is predominantly Human, with a small but growing number of Elf transplants who have arrived over the past eight years. For population-related calculations, the Laboratorium is considered part of the district, though most of its tax burden falls under the Palace’s purview.

Government

Scholar’s Way is represented by two councillors on the City Council, reflecting its importance and population. The City Council Chambers, located here, serve as the seat of governance for the entire city.

The Laboratorium is perhaps the most well-guarded institution in the world. Its defenses include wall- and tower-mounted arcane cannons, knights mounted on dragonnels and other exotic creatures, and a massive dedicated defense force. Officially, the district falls under the jurisdiction of the city guard for criminal matters, but the Laboratorium Guard Force handles all security within its grounds.
