Physical Characteristics

Arkanians were characterised by skin tones ranging from pale to tan. Their hair was typically white, as were their eyes, which were also pupilless. Arkanians also only had three fingers and a thumb, with each finger being tipped by claw-like nails.

Biology

Arkanians evolved with infrared vision as a result of inhabiting a frigid and dark world. This was helpful on their homeworld, but in certain environments, many were forced to wear polarized lenses or blinders.

Society & Culture

Arkanian society revolved around a rigid caste system that expected pure blood and sharp, logical minds from the planet's inhabitants. They viciously looked down upon any signs of weaknesses or flaws, which cemented arrogance as the Arkanians' most defining trait.

Scholarly pursuits were highly valued in Arkanian society, which led to most of the population becoming scientists and lifelong academics. Bioengineering advancements were common and regularly used to gain profit, notably through the sale of biological weapons. A minority of Arkanians, however, held great moral objection to using their scientific advancements for such horrible crimes.

Arkanians scientists were also famous for their skills in genetic manipulations. This avenue of research led to the creation of Echani many millennia ago, which, initially, were made to serve their pure-blooded masters until they fought for their freedom and left Arkania. They also created the Quermian species from the Xexto species.
