Concordia

Concordia is the central continent on the Disc of Renedge that is on the same side of the planet as Meridan, Malthorea, Aegrypt, Ioreppe, Zenogovia, The Greylands, Emminar, Metagalp, Indus, The Elvasian Continent, Valgard, Abragon, Thulargia, Teraltus, Aramal, and many others.   The continent is known to be largest on this side of the planet and houses many magically advanced and highly populous civilizations. Inhabitants consider themselves more civilized and powerful than the inhabitants of the inner, mid and outer continents, which are themselves generalized as getting more primitive as you get farther out from the center of the disc.   Most countries on Concordia are known to have weapons of unbelievable power in a dizzying variety of ways, from entire populations that can transform into powerful forms to time and space manipulation devices that can threaten gods and wipe out countries. The various countries effectively have a Mutually Assured Destruction detente that leaves most of them either leaving each other alone or having to find ways to negate, counter or prevent the weapons from being used before any conflict can be sanely attempted.   The difficulties between countries was sometimes mediated by The Archmage of Renedge, a legendary figure/position that was until recently held by an impossibly ancient wizard named Ambrose. Recently he was killed by his younger brother Netrondes, who took over the title. Ambrose's teenage son, Tetharil, exiled himself to the Isle of Necromancy, one of the few areas outside the Archmage's purview due to its damaged ley lines and 'unique' qualities. There he was aided by the locals and tutored in necromancy and a large number of other schools and specializations of magic to thwart and eventually challenge his evil uncle. Among others who allied to teach 'Teth' were Blythe Derguil, Ion Rathe Derguil, Catalus, Sith, and several gods of Magic.
