Order of Mayhem

The Order Of Mayhem is united by its desire to see peace in Reef, maintaining this order by ensuring that no one group gains a monopoly. Despite its name, the order is lawful in its focus however this law does allow it to engage in assassination, industrial espionage, and the general spreading of chaos. The Order of Mayhem watches all the major and upcoming political groups in Reef, while on the surface its best known for ensuring that all groups abide by The Pact it also works quietly to destabilise any group who has gained excessive power over its rivals. This is often supported by the The Seer Senate who impose taxation, but when this is not enough more direct action may be required.    The Order of Mayhems power, as they are a holy order, comes from the Refugee Gods. All the gods fuel the clerics and paladins, as a big part of their role is maintaining the balance of the religious groups. By drawing power from all, if one god feels they are working against their interests and withdraws their support, the other gods can continue to support them. Their sigil is a stylised whirlpool and they are often seen in their blue garb when they ride into battle.    The Order is the political parallel to The Skull Burners whose focus is more on the occult and undead. The groups often work together when their interests overlap. Like their sister organisation, they are apolitical and allowed to travel through Reef freely. They are seen by the powers of Reef as far more of a nuisance though, so face constant roadblocks and minimal co-operation, especially from those who worry they might be being targetted.

History with the players

The group saved Sir Foll from possession from the cult of the Lady of Burnt Silk, in doing so they were then invited to take part in a raid on the cult's local compound. Azekk managed to convince the Order to let the group go ahead so it could avoid a massacre.   Lady Zephyr has also hinted that she could be of more use to Isolde and the group in finding Goldar and Carmilla if she didn't have to spend resources dealing with this cult.
