The Dragonian Empire

The Dragonian Empire was founded when Elgeraan and the Draken were sent away from Earth and landed on Sefrin. It accelerated quickly in terms of growth, with a fully stocked colony ship from Earth and an Abnerak temple found on the planet. Sefrin was originally an Earth colony, but declared itself independent during Frill's Rampage, naming itself The Dragonian Empire. From there it expanded its influence, eventually encountering other civilizations.   From the beginning, the Dragonians were aggressive, attacking their neighbors and growing their borders. Over the years they continued expanding until they encountered the Suum. After a short conflict they reached a stalemate, where both sides decided on a white peace. Leaving the Suum to themselves, the Dragonian Empire turned its attention to the Shadows, beginning the fight to eradicate them.   Now, They are almost completely focused on the fight against the Shadows. After several years of divided attention between expanding borders and repelling the Shadows, it became apparent that the Shadows would require all of their resources. The Dragonians are now thought of as gatekeepers against the Shadow Scourge instead of conquerors, although the memory is still fairly recent, and the Dragonian way of life has not changed.

Structure

At the top of Dragonian hierarchy is the Emperor who directly owns and governs The Crownlands. They are expected to lead major battles, and control major disputes between the Stewards, along with maintaining foreign relations. Below the Emperor is the Crown Prince/Princess, who is also expected to fight in battle and governs a small portion of territory. Below them are the Stewards, who govern the territories surrounding The Crownlands. Below the Stewards is anyone who they appoint below themselves.

Culture

The Dragonian culture revolves around strength, both personal and that of the nation. Many Dragonians enlist themselves into the military, and experience intense training before heading out to fight the enemies of the Empire, or the Shadow Scourge. Honor is another vital part of their culture. Either being respectful and expecting the same, or not using "cheap tricks" in combat, a Dragonians honor is their personal code that they will follow and defend to their graves. Disputes are very common between citizens, and most are settled through fights, either done in the moment or scheduled at designated dueling grounds. Gladiatorial combat is also a large cultural focus. Many criminals will choose to be sent to a colosseum rather than serve time, and are granted freedom after a certain number of wins depending on the crime.

Assets

Sefrin had been an Abnerack world, and contained several temples full of the advanced technology from the extinct civilization. This technology was much greater than anything from earth, and allowed the Dragonian Empire to quickly expand and conquer its neighbors.
