Sefrin
Geography
Sefrin is a fairly large world with a very dry and rocky environment. Much of the planet consists of large mountains with flat tops and valleys between them. A massive desert rings Sefrin at the equator, which is filled with rolling dunes and ocasional spires of rock.
Ecosystem
The world is dry year round, and so most plants are dry grasses and scattered trees. The trees create forests near the underground water, and have incredibly deep roots that are used to reach it. Above ground, the trees are skinny with a wide canopy of leaves creating large areas of shade. The grazing creatures of the plains will roam around from forest to forest, resting at lakes and rivers. Across the plains are animals that run or fly, and chase down the herds of grazing animals.
In the desert, called the Collar, Hardy shrubs are spread throughout the sands. The only animal found in the Collar is a type of burrowing worm, called the Vout'un, that photosynthesises. They burrow to the underground lakes at night and to the surface during the day to absorb the sun's rays.
