Here lies a vibrant sea lush with Primal Life and dotted with enormous water lilies that grow across its surface. This relatively shallow region northwest of the Sea of Brass has become the ancestral home of Cascarns, while their moving cities protect much of the infused waters. Several of the turtlefolk's Shell-back Cities patrol the region while hunting for rogue KazaK and harvesting the treasured World Lillies. — Study of the Relic Seas by Salem Diadios
These temperate waters and their diverse ecosystem are the protected home of the
Cascarns and produces over half the foodstuff to feeds all of
Marus. It is where the turtlefolk settled to cultivate twelve precious
World Lillies in four separate groves; protecting them over the subsequent centuries through all manner of turmoil. These plants are said to be the oldest living thing in the Realm of Seas, with roots that stretch so deep some believe they may even reach the mythical sea floor. When not cultivating castle-sized
Natural Treasures, the
Cascarns harvest the Lily Forest's plants and fish its waters in exchange for trades of metals and glass. They violently weed out any
KazaK hiding among those who travel the region, ending any possible threat they may pose to Shell-back Cities like Barco Jum and Jappa Casto. Yet no one can answer the question of why the parasitic leechfolk insist on entering a region whose populous is so hostile to their continued existence.
It really sounds so beautiful. My bet is on the leechfolk wanting something with the world lilies. XD
