Location: Middle of the Sea of Beledor

Description: The lands of Tal N’sur are a fascinating and enchanting realm, situated in the center of the vast Sea of Beledor. The island is dominated by dense forests, with large areas devoted to farmland and gardens tended by the diminutive Valaeri elves, known for their unique ability to fly. The majority of the island consists of gentle hills, while a large, dormant cinder cone volcano graces its southern end. This volcano's summit holds immense significance to the elves, who have erected a small shrine there, considering it a sacred site.

Geographically, the island is surrounded by tall, sheer rocky cliffs that protect it from the powerful ocean waves that relentlessly pound against them. There is only one small cove on the island, where boats can safely anchor. Within this cove lies a small village that serves as the sole location for meeting and trading with foreigners, as the Valaeri elves value their peaceful way of life and wish to preserve the island's tranquility.

The ancient, windblown forest on Tal N’sur is characterized by short yet incredibly wide trees. The volcanic soils provide fertile grounds for the elves to cultivate various exotic fruits and vegetables, some of which are found nowhere else in the world. The Valaeri elves possess a profound connection to nature and live in harmony with their surroundings. Many of them have the ability to communicate with birds, enabling them to monitor events in distant parts of the island and stay vigilant.

The island is as peaceful as it is beautiful. Wildlife is abundant and the elves take great care not to disturb the habitat of the wild creatures that share their island home. The Valaeri elves spend much of their time devoted to harmonious pursuits such as music and art.

Government and Politics: For over 500 years, the island kingdom of Tal N'sur has been ruled by a queen known for her kind and gentle rule. During this time the kingdom has prospered and peace has prevailed on the island.

Economy: The island kingdom, isolated in the middle of the Sea of Beledor, has little trade with the outside world. Only rarely does a ship arrive and make anchor. On these rare occassions, the elves trade exotic fruits and vegetables for goods that they don't have access to on the island.

Military: Although Tal N’sur is generally safe and peaceful, the elves are not defenseless. The steep cliff of their island home make invasions impractical. They also have mastered elemental magics, and there are tales of them summoning colossal water elementals to ward off intruding boats to protect their island. The Valaeri elves have also established amicable relations with sea creatures, especially whales, from whom they learn about distant happenings.

History: In its history, Tal N’sur has remained relatively untouched and safe, sheltered from significant threats by its lonely mid ocean home. During the Great Cataclysm, the island miraculously withstood the brunt of the disaster, thanks to the elves' harmonious connection with nature and the protective forces they could harness. This historical event only strengthened the island's reputation as a safe haven and deepened the Valaeri elves' bond with their beloved home.

Today: Throughout the ages, Tal N’sur has remained a land of beauty, peace, and wonder, guarded by the wings and magic of the Valaeri elves.
