The lands of the World of Raios: Continents, Nations, Cities, Mountains, Forests, Rivers, Oceans, Regions and Landmarks.

The five known continents

Five known continents represent most of the known land of Raios. These continents possess very different geographies containing a wide variety of ecosystems and civilized realms.

The map of Raios covers approximately one-third of the planet’s surface and represents the current known area of the world. If other lands exist, they lie beyond knowledge of the current inhabitants.

Continents of Raios

The two westernmost continents consist of Aorlan (ay-OR-lahn) and Beorlan (bee-OR-lahn). Connecting at 38 degrees north latitude, they are the only continents that are contiguously joined on land.

The southernmost continent of Centakus (sen-TACK-us) is separated from Beorlan by a narrow strip of water known as the Strait of Aklon.

The next continent east is Nhulokkarnum (NULL-lock-CAR-num).

Finally, the continent of Mu Xian’va (moo-SHAWN-va) consists of mostly-sunken land far to the east.

See each of those continents on the map above. You can click on a pin on the map to navigate to that continent's page.

See the continents also in the World Codex tree to the right, and on the World of Raios homepage. Within the World Codex tree you can open each continent to explore its contents, can click to navigate to details about a continent, and can click to navigate to any specific location in the Atlas.

Searching the Atlas works WAYYYY better than a book

Note you can search, using the box in upper right, by continent name, by type of location (e.g. Nation, Forest, Fresh Water, Salt Water, etc...), by content in a location (e.g., Elves, Dwarves, Dragons, Pirates, Chaos Storms, Sea Serpents, Undead, Giants, Orcs, etc...).

You can also search by map grid coordinates, such as A-5 or C-6 or F-16. Every location associated with that map grid box will match your search. Extra-powerful search feature, given that there is SOOOO MUCH content here that sometimes the pop-up list is not useful: when you type and see a list, hit the ESCAPE key to make the popup go away, and then hit the ENTER key. This will navigate you to a full search results page with an amount of matching info and links that we bet will surprise you. :D

You can open folders in the World Codex tree to see the locations within each continent. You can also navigate from the tree, of course:
