Queendom of Shevezz

(( Placeholder )) The Queendom of Shevezz lay South of Qal'ath at the southern end of The Lybweg. Its territory included the sprawling "City State" of Shevezz itself and the mountain range to its East called Skarrka Bykla. It bordered Sablesand Dunes on the Southern edge. To the East lay Bruhaii Aunàn. Like Bezélan, on its western frontier lay the Grànousii-an-Ormàszil Ocean. For a sense of scale, Shevezz was larger than the entire The Forest of Doon or was about thirty times the land area of Bezélan. In the early years after its founding, Kings ruled in Shevezz. But, by the time the Realm of Qal'ath was founded, Matriarchs were in power. Since that point the system was drafted and finalised to require only Queens to sit on the Throne of Shevezz. As Monarchy is not for life, every ten years, the populace can vote for an alternative if they wish, or they must reaffirm their commitment to the reigning Queen for a further ten years. There was a brief spell around the First Destruction when Kings were permitted to rule, due to eligible Princesses wishing to be older and wiser before taking the throne. This was made possible by ensuring the Kings agreed to cede the throne - or be exiled - when their rule was required to end.
