Chill-caf

Chill-caf is a variation of coffee with the centre of its invention and renown being the Queendom of Shevezz. It is served piping hot, and contains additional spices designed to cause the drinker to sweat. In this way, the drink accelerated the body's natural cooling system.

It was also periodically used to play fun jokes on visitors, known and unknown, or as a "rite of passage" of sorts when parents permitted their offspring to consume a form of coffee.

While that may deter some from touching it, Chill-caf is a firm local favourite, loved as much for its irony as its taste.

An original hand-drawn sketch by FJ Brodie (August 2025) depicting four different tents in a circle of trees and a hedgerow. The moon is waning and the only wildlife you can see is a bird in a tree and some eyes peering through the dark off to one side.
