The Chosen
T he chosen is the umbrella term for those that were born with a sacred gift, the ability to truly communicate with the Manora Not just visions, not just short brief messages, true communication via the astral plane. Each person born with this gift has a symbol etched into their forehead like a birth mark, in a language foreign to the material plane. The chosen spends their day typically in the basements of the head temple in Sowey, only the chosen is allowed in the basement chambers, and that is rumored to be where a permanent link from the astral plane to the material plane exists, and is how the chosen speaks to the Manora.The Council
T he council is a collective of 5 powerful members of the church, each dedicated to a certain purpose in maintaining the Theocracy across all it's territory. The 5 council members are chosen by divine decree by the Chosen, the choices often feel at random, with things like nobility and history mean nothing, but the Theocracy has thrived by this process for centuries. Those sworn into the council swear a vow of silence when outside the head temple in Sowey, meaning all decisions are made back at home base, none in spur of the moment. The council members are all very powerful in their own right, more than capable of self defense, but the existing structures require these people to be safe, so no matter who is in council, there exists a military force to protect these people at all times.Religion
