Noverok Bloodclaw

Noverok Bloodclaw — “The Executioner” Race: Skaven Role: Champion, Enforcer of the Council of Thirteen Weapon: The Executioner, a massive black greatsword forged from cursed metal and blood steel, said to cleave ogres in half with a single swing. Personality: Fearless, blood-drunk, yet fiercely loyal to his brother. Titles: “Killer of Saberteeth,” “The Council’s Blade,” “The Rat That Died Twice.” Noverok rose from the war-pits of Rat Pitt through sheer ferocity. He slaughtered his way to command and became the Bloodclaw Warlord. His signature weapon, The Executioner, was blessed by the Great Horned Rat himself—or so he claimed—feeding on blood to remain ever sharp. He gained infamy for killing Saberteeth Fellbite, a Skaven hero who had protected Chyric and Skitter. The Council celebrated the kill, but Noverok’s pride made him reckless. In 620 PR, during the Council of Thirteen Manor Gathering, he was ambushed by the same two orphans he had orphaned. Chyric and Skitter struck together—Chyric with his sword, Skitter with her rapier—and Noverok was finally slain. His death sent shockwaves through Rat Pitt.
Noverok Bloodclaw — “The Executioner” Champion of Clan Bloodclaw, Enforcer of the Council of Thirteen, Killer of Saberteeth Fellbite   Birth of the Beast (595–600 PR)   Born in the lowest tunnels of Rat Pitt, Noverok was one of thousands of nameless Skaven whelps bred for slaughter. His earliest years were spent among bones and the smell of boiling meat, where survival was decided by teeth and claw. He was larger than most even as a runt, with pale scars streaking his muzzle and eyes like burning coals. While others hid, Noverok fought for every scrap—his first kill coming before he could even speak.   When the young Skaven gladiators were herded into the War-Pits of the Thirteen, Noverok became infamous for his berserker fury. He wielded a rusted cleaver at first, then scavenged blades, and finally a crude slab of blackened iron so large others could barely lift it. The pitmasters named him Noverok, meaning “Death Bite” in the gutter tongue.   By the age of seven, he had earned the mark of the Bloodclaw—a crimson stripe painted across the chest in warp-oil—after single-handedly slaying six rivals and a captured ogre in the arena.   The Rise of The Executioner (601–612 PR)   Noverok’s legend began when he forged his true weapon—The Executioner, a cursed greatsword forged from a warpfire furnace core and quenched in the blood of one hundred captives. The blade’s edge was said to hum when it was near prey, and with every kill it drank a fragment of the soul.   He carved a path out of the pits, leading a mutiny against his masters and slaughtering every rival warlord that stood between him and the Council’s notice. His brutality and absolute lack of fear earned him a place among the Ratlords who enforced the Council’s decrees.   When the Council of Thirteen sought a new enforcer to hunt traitors, Skrul Darkborn himself selected Noverok. The Skaven warlord was given the title “The Executioner of Rat Pitt.” His duties: to exterminate rebellion, punish cowardice, and silence any Skaven who questioned Council edicts.   He became the clawed hand of death for the Council—relentless, wordless, unstoppable.   The Killer of Saberteeth Fellbite (620 PR)   The peak of his early power came when Saberteeth Fellbite, a legendary hero and protector of two renegade Skaven, Chyric and Skitter, defied the Council. Skrul Darkborn, who sent Noverok to end it.   The battle between the two took place in the flooded catacombs of Old Rat Pitt, where Noverok fought Saberteeth through collapsing tunnels. Witnesses claimed Noverok laughed through the pain as Saberteeth tore chunks of flesh from him with his claws, until finally The Executioner came down in a single, perfect arc. The blow split Saberteeth in two, his halves sinking into the dark water.   Noverok roared his triumph, holding Saberteeth’s top half of his torso as a trophy. From that day onward, his name was carved into Council records as “Killer of Saberteeth.”   The Council of Thirteen Massacre (620 PR)   Noverok’s arrogance would be his undoing.   When the Council convened in the Manor of Thirteen, Chyric and Skitter struck. The two had survived Saberteeth’s death and had grown into skilled killers in their own right. with Pyro the two infiltrated the manor to stop their sister Zhul plans and there was ambushed by Noverok.   The hall erupted in chaos—Skitter’sand Chyric struck from the shadows, and Noverok, laughing, rose to meet them. The Executioner’s blade split the air, cleaving columns, but this time his foes were not prey—they were vengeance.   The final blow came when Skitter’s sunk her rapier in to a gap in his armour. Chyric and Skitter look at each other before both stabbing Noverok in the chest with their weapons.   His last words, according to Chyric’s later confession, were:   “You think death kills me once? Try twice.”   The Red Rebirth (620 PR)   Noverok’s corpse was taken by his younger brother, Thikkit Bloodclaw, a brilliant but deranged warlock-scientist. Obsessed with preserving his brother’s strength, Thikkit used forbidden necro-alchemy and warp-flesh grafting to resurrect Noverok under Skrul Darkborn’s command.   The ritual—known as The Red Rebirth—bound Noverok’s soul to his body with warp-runes, burning a crimson sigil across his chest, his veins filled with black ichor. When he awoke, his roar shattered the laboratory’s glass cages.   He had returned—stronger, crueller, and aware that death could no longer claim him.   The Hunts of the Dead (620 PR–Present)   Now a revenant bound to Thikkit’s will, Noverok once again tasked with hunting Chyric and Skitter across the underrealms of Platera. His mind flickers between feral rage and eerie lucidity—half warrior, half corpse.   Rumours speak of his shadow seen in the ruins of Rat Pitt, cutting down traitors and even living Skaven who mock his death. Some whisper that The Executioner no longer serves any master, that his hatred has transcended orders and become pure instinct—to kill the two who defied him, and any who remind him of the life he lost.   Appearance and Traits   Height: 6’10” hunched, 7’4” when standing tall.   Fur: Patchy black with streaks of dark brown.   Eyes: Glowing red.   Weapon: The Executioner — black greatsword pulsing with warp veins, drinking the souls of those it slays.   Voice: Deep, echoing, with a rasp like grinding metal.   Legacy   Among Skaven, Noverok is both myth and warning—a tale told to warriors who grow too proud. They whisper:   “The Executioner never dies. He only waits for your name.”   And in the tunnels where his blade first sang, his sigil—the clawed paw wrapped around a broken heart—still bleeds fresh crimson every new moon.
