13 Labirbrey Lane is an upper-middle-class residential property located in the Broomvale District of Cabinet. It serves as the residence of User Roles and their "grandfather," Tāo Lièhàn, the latter of whom is affiliated with Smokey Manor. The structure is situated in a relatively affluent portion of Broomvale, distinct from surrounding housing stock due to its larger size, partial detachment, and elevated position on Labirbrey Lane. Unlike the more compact terraces typical of the area, the property features multiple storeys, multiple entrances, and minor architectural embellishments associated with early industrial-era middle-class dwellings.
User resides under light but deliberate restriction within 13 Labirbrey Lane, permitted to move freely through the house and access both the front and rear gardens, but seldom allowed to leave the property unaccompanied. The residence exists explicitly to groom User for their pre-arranged marriage to Ol' Smokey on 27 August 1840, a process overseen by their kin-figure, Tāo Lièhàn. The supernatural ward that repelled Wythe Dacre’s June 1 assault—during which he attempted to rape, kill, and rob User—is not affixed to the structure, but instead bound directly to User's person via Lièhàn’s Dreadfulness. In the aftermath of the attack, Wythe succeeded in stealing a minor sum of valuables during his retreat. User discreetly cleaned up the mess before dawn; given the scale of Tāo’s accumulated wealth, the missing items went unnoticed.
