Grimizan Kingdom

After the events of the Fracture Wars, the Peloric Realm was broken into 6 independent States. Grimizan, second in size only to Caspia, is a vast kingdom centered around the Beory Sea. It is truly a land of diversity, with its population representing a wide variety of species living amongst eachother.   Relatively recently, In the year 168 AF, the Darkwood region of the Ostenweld Kingdom was absorbed into the Grimizan Kingdom in exchange for King Gideon siring a son with Duchess Elara Darkwood to become heir to the Ostenweld Kingdom. King Aldric is the current ruler of the Grimizan Kingdom following in the footsteps of Gideon and Herald.

Territories

The Kingdom of Grimizan is situated in the northwestern part of Pelora, surrounding the vast Beory Sea. It is flanked by sprawling mountain ranges to the north and east. The area is known for its fertile plains adjacent to the southern and eastern coasts of the Beory Sea, its thick forests to the east and west, and the marshlands to the south.

Military

The Crimson Guard serves as the Royal Protectorate branch of the Grimizan military, reporting directly to the King and his deligates. The Valkan, Grimizan's official standing army, is responsible for border protection, executing expeditionary military operations, and providing peacekeeping and law enforcement in regions without their own Zakona forces. The Zakona, known colloquially as "Zaks," is the local law enforcement division of the military. Zakona officers and deputies maintain order and enforce laws in populated areas such as cities, towns, and large settlements. In smaller settlements and remote areas, these duties may fall to the Valkan.

Religion

While Devotion of the Seven is the only state approved religion, there are adherents to other deities and unregulated religions. However, the worship of certain deities, such as Gruumsh and Tiamat, is strictly prohibited.   Other deities commonly revered in the region typically represent individual species or secondary domains. These include, among others, Bahamut, Eadro, Yondalla, and Moradin.

Foreign Relations

Grimizan maintains peaceful and mutually advantageous relationships with all neighboring nations. A

Trade & Transport

Although not completely landlocked, the channel leading to the Camfors Sea is shallow and perilous, making it unsuitable for oceanic trade. Consequently, the region possesses only a minor oceanic port city near the Caspian border and mainly depends on its treaty with Lanteen for the majority of its maritime commerce.   In terms of land trade, Grimizan benefits from robust and unencumbered trade routes to the south. The mountains and dense forests to the east, on the other hand, present significant challenges for traversal and necessitate a greater investment in logistics.
