Elves
History
Thousands of years ago, the various ethnicities of elves came together and found common ground in an ideological identity called Tsia, a belief in objective logic and search for scientific truth. This shared belief ended the majority of conflict among themselves, lead to greater scientific innovation and allowed them to travel and settle more of the galaxy.
Elvenkind have been spacefaring for over 3000 years. They began with simple light ships and later expanded to the complex technology they use today. Elves are now considered the most scientifically advanced species in the Galactic Union.
Ethnicities
There are several elven ethnicities that make up the species.
- The Sel (high elves) — (white/gold)
- The Alu (sea elves) — (blue/green)
- The Vandor (forest elves) — (browns)
- The Nevae (dark elves) — (grey, purple, blue)
- The Arn (south elves) — (white/silver)
In addition, elves have been genetically modifying themselves for thousands of years. This has led to their sharp senses, intelligence, and beauty. Many elves have mixed ethnicity, both from natural mixing of the ethnicities, and from gene-splicing. Some gene-spliced elves do not have an identifiable ethnicity at all.

Growth Rate & Stages
The first hundred years of an elf's life, they are still developing mentally-- however, they mature physically at a similar rate to humans. They are considered adults once they reach the hundredth year of life.

Elves tend to have sharper features than humans, and have longer, pointed ears.
Average Intelligence
Elves consistently rank higher than humans on average tests of intelligence, though they can vary greatly among themselves as humans do.
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
Elves have keen senses of eyesight and hearing, and superior spacial awareness in comparison to humans.
Civilization and Culture
Average Technological Level
Elves are considered the most scientifically advanced species in the Galactic Union. They usually share their technology with the rest of the Union, however, they keep some secrets, as they believe other species, without their unity through their allegiance to their ideology, would not be able to use the technology without destruction.
Major Language Groups and Dialects
Elves share a common language group, though there are dialects among the various ethnicities which can be difficult to understand if one is familiar with one elven dialect over another. Certain words are common throughout the various dialects, such as the word "tsia", which refers to the elven mindset of logic and respect. This word remains the same in Galactic Standard, taken from the elven language, as it refers to a specific ideology.
Culture and Cultural Heritage
Elves have a culture of peace and logic. Elves do not follow any religion, rather, they follow a code they believe guides them to lead logical lives. This code is called the Tsia, a word that is similar in meaning to logic, reality, and truth. The culture of logic does not limit their emotions. However, elves tend to be calmer than other species as they are biologically predisposed to a calm demeanor. They do not believe in higher powers, but rather, in a unity of the universe itself and the forces that bring things together.
Elven art is a vast interest, spanning many different mediums and senses. Their music has been standardized to play on a 12 note scale where each note is exactly proportional to each other frequency-wise. This sounds similar to our 12 note scale, however slightly off.
Elves of different ethnicities have different colorations of skin and markings. These can vary greatly.
