Mechian

Mechians, with their versatile robotic bodies, exhibit a diverse array of physical features. Typically humanoid in form, their bodies comprise a combination of metals, synthetic polymers, and other advanced materials. To emulate a more human appearance, their faces are crafted from flexible materials, allowing for expressive and lifelike visages. While some Mechians choose to envelop their bodies entirely in this material to achieve a seamless human-like guise, many embrace their mechanical forms with pride. In fact, the Mechians possess the extraordinary ability to interchange body parts, facilitating customization of their physical structures to suit individual preferences and needs. This adaptability grants Mechians an exceptional advantage, enabling them to reveal their true selves or adopt an outward appearance aligned with their personal inclinations. Notably their ears are almost always a circular shaped piece rather than a human like shape.

While technically not biological Mechians poses many mechanical substitutes for biological processes. Possessing synthetic bones, muscles, nervous stems, digestive system, blood and brains. A nanomechanical ecosystem within them plays the role of immune and healing systems. And they possess an artificial genetic code with the ability to pass it on through reproduction. Mechians are however impervious to biological hazards such as infections as they have no cells capable of being infected. They are even resistant to chaotic plague as the disease has no biological component to latch on to. This doesn't mean they are immune as chaotic plague is still capable of affecting anything with a metaphysical core, but a Mechian would have to be held in place and exposed to chaotic plague for an extended period to become effected. They are functionally immortal but often feel they have lived long enough after a century or so.

Despite having bodies which are entirely robotic Mechians are capable of reproducing and passing on a form of genetics. Rather than relying on DNA they have artificial codes that dictate their natural form and growth. Mechians are born in somewhat the usual way, as babies. Their bodies growing at a rate consistent with organic humans by the use of an advanced integrated nanomachine ecosystem that forms their physical traits using their artificial genetic code.
They are capable of interchanging body parts with manufactured ones should they choose to. Iif they have missing body parts they will also be capable of generate a new one identical to their original using their artificial genetic codes.

Food for Mechians, like any other organism, provides a source of energy and materials for their bodies to repair itself. However, they are capable of surviving without food for much longer than humans. their mechanical bodies need little in the way of sustenance, only requiring additional materials when damaged or in some state of growth. In terms of energy their internal systems are capable of extracting sugars from foods, storing them and burning them to generate electrical power. They are also capable of charging their bodies using electrical outlets. In times that they need to rapidly heal their bodies they are capable of ingesting and breaking down mechanical materials, metals and minerals.

Mechians are known to be quite level-headed, exhibiting a greater control over their emotional state than organic humans. Otherwise Mechians have the minds of humans and all that comes with that.

Technically Mechians have a human level of intelligence, however they are capable of accelerating their cognitive functions for periods of time.

Mechians poses sensory capabilities in line with those of humans. Hearing, sight, olfactory, sense of touch and so on. However, their circular ears are equipped with several enhancements that they are able to utilise. Improved hearing, perception of electromagnetic fields, sense of magical energies and the ability to receive information through wireless means. They are also capable of selectively reducing and disabling different senses at will. This is especially useful for warriors as it allows them to reduce the strain of physical pain, their bodies being able to be repaired at a later time.

Although a verity of names is used in mechian culture often times names that evoke machines and mechanisms are used.

Mechians have a similar sense of beauty to humans. However, they are proud of their mechanical bodies, feeling no need to cover their sleak metalic forms with synthetic skin. With the ability for Mechians to alter their bodies to a high degree, interchanging parts and such they will often change their physical form to be more in line with what they consider to be ideal. Their bodies in a sense can become fashion statements in and of themselves.

Gender in Mechians is a bit of a fluid concept considering their ability to modify their bodies to their liking. However, upon birth their artificial genetic code determines their sex with a 50/50 split.

Mechians obviously hold a high level of technological prowess, their bodies alone being a testament to that. They are capable of manufacturing advanced robotics and utilising aether technologies. Some have even begun to experiment using magi-tech resulting in exceptionally powerful warrior mechians. Advanced Aether wave propelled airships and spaceships, powerful anti-magic weaponry and tech capable of scrubbing toxic materials and radiation from the earth.

Despite being non biological it is still important for them to cover their private areas. though they require little in the way of protection against the elements.

Created during the time of the angel wars by a conjoint effort between earth humans and the white elves. using a blend of technology and magic mechanical bodies complete with synthetic copies of brains where created and human souls were transferred using advanced elven rituals. the first wave of Mechians where somewhat rudimentary in comparison to what they have become. Their bodies had some unforeseen bugs and some experienced extreme body dysmorphia. However, with some time they improved the designs. The Mechians where created with the dual purpose of combatting the chaotic plague and creating a new way that humanity could live on if the worst should happen. With their powerful mechanical bodies, they were highly effective against chaotic beasts, able to venture into toxic zones that would kill or distort any organic being. After the angel wars the Mechians have set about repairing the earth and cleansing it of chaotic beasts. They also set about improving their forms, giving themselves a form of artificial genetics and the ability to reproduce with one another. Leading to the first generation that were born Mechian and not made into them. The gigantic Mechian tower was constructed as a hub for their people and their operations acting as an entire city in a single building.
