Before the chaotic plague and Aeon's malevolence, humans in earthrealm thrived with a diverse array of cultures and reached remarkable technological heights. Bustling with innovation, their civilizations flourished as centres of knowledge and cooperation with other races. However, the calamity shattered their unity, scattering them across realms in search of refuge. Some found solace in the common lands of Elfrealm, forming bonds with the elves, while others persisted on the devastated Earth, seeking to rebuild. Venturing into the unknown, a brave group settled on the distant planet Korva among the sapient alien species the Kokoron, alongside a myriad of alien species in the Radiant Expanse. As they endure and rebuild, the scattered human groups carry the legacy of their once-great civilization, forever changed by their tumultuous history. In Elfrealm, two distinct groups of humans reside. The first, known as the Salvians, arrived during the Angel Wars and founded the city of Salvum. The second group, referred to by the Salvians as the "Other men" or simply "Othrin," arrived in Elfrealm through mysterious means many centuries ago. The Salvians distinguish themselves among all other Elfrealm inhabitants with their unmatched technological superiority. Although they possess the lowest natural magical ability rates of any race in Elfrealm, it is not entirely absent. Curiously, their presence in this magically potent realm appears to boost the manifestation of magical abilities. In contrast, the Othrin's technology level aligns with that of the majority of races in Elfrealm, akin to the medieval era of old Earth. However, their capabilities are significantly enhanced by the integration of magic techniques. The Othrin stand apart with much higher rates of natural magical ability compared to any other human group, a gift stemming from their centuries-long existence in Elfrealm.

Humans poses only a subtle ability to sense magical energy, particularly energies which are aggressive and dark in nature. They exhibit a subtle uneasy feeling around such energies that often causes them to leave an area even if they don't completely understand why.

In stark contrast, the remaining humans on Earth faced a slower trajectory of progress. The planet transformed into a global "wild west," where survivors navigated a rugged landscape.
