Chapter 1, The War between Skies and Rivers

A crack in space and matter, and the world as you know it is no longer. The right time and a bit of luck, and all you want could happen to in favour, to anyone, to a rightous queen or a hateful shadow, waiting for their turn in luck.
Eyes, watching in the dark, looking at the moon, an eclipse was about to begin. A moment, were the sun looses sight of Earth, a moment,, when Sur looses sight of Oschata.
Eyes of creatures made by a god long ago, who served like a dog, who saw reality as it was back then, a lump of hate and false hopes. Creatures who became what was asked of them, only to be locked away when time no longer needed their service.
"Can YOU be locked away?" a group of homeless travelers looked at each other, "what did you say?", "I didn't say anything" the other replied but they knew it wasn't any of them who asked them the question, that still lingered in their minds. "You did all you were asked of, yet you get no thanks, no GRATITUTE, no, you get called a sinner at best." the humans looked at each other, terror in their short breath, shock in their eyes. They had just left one of the bigger cities of Rakscher from the south coast, with no intention of going there again but the voice alone had made them take a few steps back again. "WE have done what they wanted." the voice became that of many, "WE did what was MEANT to be DONE." They screamed and so did the voices, everyone screamed. But one of fright and the other of wrath.

A rift between the humans teared through nothing, opening what seemed like a window to hell. It was mid day when the star of Oschata got overshadowed by the bigger moon. Nemneha, said star, has experienced many solar eclipses before and she was confident in her gods to keep her Planets safe in those few minutes without her watching.
...But accidents always happen, when they are least needed, and just that day, the Gods in Rakscher left one spot unpatrolled. The crack was unnoticed, the travelers ran, in all directions, away from that thing! They screamed for help, but they were way to far away for anyone to hear. And just when the moon let the sunlight peek through again did a giant wind current escape the crack, clouds black as oil spread out, a swirl became a tornado and a giant storm errupted within the blink of an eye. The clouds thickened and the sky grew black, rain started pouring when actually the sun had just been shining a few moments ago. Wind rose up, leaves lost their grip and got sucked into the storm that became bigger and wilder with each second. The in darkness covered land, who was used to the seawind, had to hold on tight, the bushes fighting against the pull, grass being torn out of the earth and flowers started to break off of their stems.

The gods now noticed the disturbance, immedietly calling in their own creatures, servants and friends. Wanting to find out what created the threatening storm near the coastline. When the first one arrived at the scene, they got sliced up by a blast of blades coming out of the fog "It hurtss! AHH. Our eyess, why is it so damn bright??" The shadows stumbled back "Must, bring, backk, THE DARK! WE SEE YOU MASTER, WE WILL NOT REST UNTIL WE SATISFY YOU.". The wind took on and chaos broke out, demons hidden inside the clouds attacking the surprised gods and their servants. Battlecries from both parties filled the air but the wind ate their voices up, not letting them travel any further.

Nemneha appeared in a bright beacon of light at the battlefield, shocked of the sight of her wounded gods. If they were not able to defeat this growing mess then, then who was? But in her fright she remembered one thought of hope, her recently found friends, could they defeat these creatures who's hate had turned them into demons? She had no other option, she prepared a hasty message and in a glimbs a bright light shot away from her, out towards her hopefully closeby friends. She had seen do great things and she hoped they could overpower this mess as well.

Isowu sat together with Ruhles enjoying a picnic, with her significant other, a special moment they had once every month when time crossed their paths, usually like today, that was in Porekan. When suddenly the sun infront of them grew brighter and all they could see anymore was each other. "Please help me in Rakscher! There is a storm-" Their Celestials voice yelled in despair, then the light became normal again and she got cut of. "... Was that?" "Yes it was her!" Isowu stood up, no time for second thoughts her creator needed her. A snowstorm appeared and they both took on, Ruhles being carried by the frosty wind and Isowu flying inside the snow as fast as she could.
Kareax received the message when she was on a trip in Zusuknap, standing there perplex as to how she could make it there the fastest, ran Heylufa into her, from the look of it did she receive the help call as well. They both sprinted together towards the ocean in the east, jumped and Heylufa carried Kareax on her waves beside her while she swam in high speed.
In the calm evening of Chomags jungle was it quite the surprise to be awakened by a shining light but Zeronu collected her mind quickly to make her way to the oversea nation.
In the clouds of Ochaper was the light quit unnoticable by others, so no one even saw Furovel get up and leave his guardien post from his mountain top hut.
Yekuzo met Etusii on his way, both of them using their clouds and smoke to fly above the ground. It seemed like they both came from the west oversea from Rakscher
Jelal was in Tumikum when she got called to her friend into the neighbor nation, she ran like lighting down the mountain streets towards the black clouds at the horizon in the south.
In another neighbor nation did Iluhk hear about the help message, together with his companion did they set off from Makumer.
Another creature got disturbed out of their early sleep in Chomag, Marendel received the message and immedietly made her way as well.

The winter soverein and the poet arrived first at the scene, dark clouds fuming out of seemingly nothing, demonic eyes watching out of them, those creatures seemed to not be able to survive in sunlight.
Nemneha stood besides one of her gods that got injured at the first attack, that's when she saw her friends had arrive already, she nodded at them, a scared look behind her eyes but conviction in her demeanor.
That's when Isowu grew in size and changed into her snowstorm form, immedietly fighting against the thundering clouds, snow and rain crashing against one another trying to out best the other. And the others followed her actions With a jump flew Etusii into the warzone as well, he created his own clouds, aiding Isowu with her blizard, in the chaos. Furovel and Yekuso noticed the two and from their distance they watched the clouds combine, intertwine and break apart again, crashing and fighting, not agreeing as to wether they should slice each other apart or eat each other up. Nemneha lit up in beams of starlight and ripped razor sharp stones out of the earth, black as coal, hard as badrock. She raised her hand and directed them towards the black clouds, attacking them and the demons inside them.
The battle began, the celestial called back her own gods, they will help the citizens of Rakscher, she and her new found fighters shall defeat the abominations themselves, she had no doupt in them anymore.
Furovel had reached the battefield and called in the light of the sun, thin as hair but sharp as needles, they pierced through the fog finding the intruders within seconds, attacking them. Yekuso had gathered up smoke from the burning forests around them, letting it encase her completly, he breathed in deeply, feeling the firey burn of the ashes and smoke around her in his throat, Yekuso opened his eyes and they dashed up into the maze of fog and clouds, it was no longer easy to differenciate between friend and fiend but she could feel it, the breath of the attackers, charging right towards them. Then the demons started to reach down, spreading from the sky for the ground, more space meant more terretory for them to infest, the first ones grabbing hold and in a thick fog they traveled further, along the grass and igniting it, with every meter they got they grew in size and numbers, Zeronu called in the vines and roots of the nearby trees, they waisted no time to make out the opponents, they wrapped around them, strangling their necks and making them unable to move. Kareax and Heylufa finally made it back out of the water, Heylufa carring the Cyborg on one of her waves which reached out of the water and bringing Kareax like a tsunami right to the center, she extended her claws and jumped right in, killing one, two, five demons and heading to the others for assistance. Heylufa summoned more waves which rinsed the enemies into the arms of her friends, controlling the battlefield with the water. Nemneha saw Jelal dash into the crowd as well, the second cybord followed the first one and started the killing spree beneath them. She winked Marandel towards her and pointed towards the Cyborg, she understood and majestically spawned a cloud of insects who gathered around Jelal and held her up like she weight nothing, then when she found herself steady in the swarm they flew up, making it possible for Jelal to fight the Demons in the air. Marandel also saw Iluhk being busy with the hell spawns nearby, she created more wasps and beatles to aid the fighter at ground level. Iluhk shot the Demons like he did that everyday, the insects shooting right behind his bullets to poison and sting them in the open wounds. Ruhel kept the clouds in check by strumming her guitar, loud echoing melodies clashed with the fog, but they won and could win back some room. She looked up into the storm, a tornado had arose, bigger than any cloud she has ever seen herself.

The whole group has found their way inside the clouds now, assisting each other and fighting their own battle, the ghost-like creatures screamed in pain, yet they didn't want to die.
Furovel noticed this and flew closer to Etusii, "It doesn't matter, once we kill one two new appear! And I can't even make out from where!" "Shit, we fight for nothing then!" He replied in dispair "There has to be some way of stopping them from coming back!" Furovel agreed and flew higher, lighting up the sky only for the demons to eat the sunbeams up again, spreading their clouds like there was truly no stopping them.

They had reached the cities close by, the south coasts already evacuating the people, the west and east noticing that the storm come closer to them as well, sirens screamed in the air, alarming the locals who watched in terror. But a slight breath of hope awoke when they saw the gods and servanst of the whole western continent appear at their sides, shielding the people as well as the animals from the attack. Red and black smoke arose from the dark clouds, humans started to cough and animals howled, tears running down their cheeks, the many gods spread out, summoning shields made out of magic.

"We need more info on it, I'm gonna go to Zeruno!" Exclaimed Etusii, Furovel nodded keeping the dark in check. The cloud guardian flew down to Zeruno, "We've got to find it's main body, up there is no point in killing them, they seem to just come back." He explained "I've noticed a big crowd of these creatures are coming from up that path, lets go look there first then!" The nature spirit said in confidence. They made their way through the storm, hidden in Etusii's clouds, Zeruno keeping the path clean from intruders with vines.
From above watched Furovel, making sure they stayed on the path, it seemed like they had their first idea of were to look for clues on this attack. "What are they doing?" Marendel questioned him, "Nemneha asked me but I can't tell" She said with worry in her voice. "They're looking for answers, whenever we kill one of those things another appears. If we keep fighting like this we'll still be here in ten years!" Furovel explained, "I'll go tell the others." She responded, calling her insects and going her way to inform her friends. The two guardians of air and dirt heard some noise, still hidden in his clouds, Etusii walk closer to a clearing bending down to find the stalker, Zeruno stayed put looking around for attackers, she noticed some rustling at the nearby rubble, a shadow! but it was Kareax who stumbled out of a bush, the cyborg was covered in blood and she looked as alive as never before. "Their blood is filled with magic and filex unlike any other!" She breathed out with satisfaction behind her words. "Where are you heading to?" "We're looking for something like a spawner, they don't seem to shrink rather gain in numbers." Zeruno told her "I see, I'll help you then, we're going this way i assume?" The cyborg pointed towards the path tehy had been walking for quite a while. "Seems like it." Etusii agreed.

Above them, Isowu and Ruhel kept the clouds in check. Fighting magical energy rather than the demons. It felt like the storm itself was alive. They matched each others fighting style, protecting each others weakpoints and aiding the others charged attacks into the black void. "Change of plans!" a voice yelled at them, Ruhel turned around, it was Marandel and Nemneha. "You guys keep the storm in his place, I'll stay with you but the others are searching the ground for some sort of leak in space from where these things cam from." Nemneha declared, Marandel nodded her head "Yes we've came to the conclusion that these things are servants of an old god who's origins we may not have found out yet, but we're sure these creatures can't be defeated only locked away." Nemneha continueed on Marandels statement "Yes, that's their curse of existance, back then gods nor I thought of them as anything else but puppets for our dirty work. These creatures are not as alive as the creatures and servants are today, they're more like animals, acting on instinct unable to be tought anything else but what they learned when they got created." Isowu looked at marandel and down to her fellow friends, many of them were creatures but created long after that kind of thinking. "That's horrible we can#t change them?" She explaimed, I've seen those kind of creatures before and I will try my best later when we have cleared this storm. But my hopes are thin." Nemneha replied. "Then what are we waiting for," Ruhel said encouragingly "Let's clear this bit of clouds!" They both went back to their places midst the clouds, Nemneha followed them, creating sharp gems out of nowhere, keeping the demons away from Isowu and Ruhel while they focused on the clouds and wind, overpowering it with blizards and filex of melodies.

The Mountains and hills started to loose color, the sun had started to set and they slowly they all realized that that would mean that the demons would become stronger and didn't need their storm to hide from the light anymore.
At ground level but far away from the three friends searching for the spawn of the storm, was Iluhk who has grouped up with Jelal, Marandel had left the two alone when she was on her way with Nemneha. But they had figured out how to fight together rationally, the cyborg focused on close damange dealing and Iluhk fought on distance, shooting creatures that where coming from afar and Jelal fought those too close by with her giant blade.
They had just came to a decent place where they had gotten the upper hand when flames started to erupt around them, out of the fire stepped Yekuzo followed by Heylufa who surpassed him and ran right to Jelal, "I'm so glad you guys are here as well! I came here with Kareax and thought we'd be the only once for a second, but you guys were all already here it gave me strength." Jelal embraced the hug but let go not short after, "We'll talk in detail later, now we've got to get closer to the eye of the storm." "Which is a pain in teh ass to do, we've been fighting for what feels liek hours and we've only moved like 30 meters closer" Iluhk added. "Well now you got us" Yekuzo smiled michiviously "Heylufa and me have found quite the effective way to use fire and water filex together. Heylufa face short a small grin, "Whenever you're ready queen of flames and smokes!" "Never call me that again." Yekuzo replied in a harmless disgusting tone in their voice. But none the less Yekuzo lowered her flames, only leaving the smoke stand high for cover, she nods at Heylufa and then she noticed her sign. With an elegant hand movement summoned she a wave from the water that she always carried around herself. With the surprise moment on their side did she crash the wave through the smoke, onto the demons that had grouped up behind the flames, they got washed away down the roads, all of them now lying on top of each other in one place. Now it was Yekuzo's turn with a swift movement of her foot crawled the flames towards the pit and ate the demons up, not giving them a change to fight back. The fire lit up, one big flash flame reaching for what looked like the sky, then it died down only leaving smoke and bones behind. "Alright then, let's head to the center of this tornado shall we?" Yekuzo and Heylufa went on, walking straight to the storm continuing their fighting tactic.

The sunlight started to fade, the last bits of light stroaking along the coastline and the hills in the west. The air became cooler by the minute, the time, before the demons could run free, shorter. It was time for bed but no one dared to rest, the neighbor cities had alread made place for the refugees and the animals of the wild had run as far as the roads let them.
