Session 17

General Summary

Starts on Anarro 2nd in the morning, as Mak'Ti, Mark, Lykalada'ath and Bord wake from a long rest to find T'nin and Vrae gone, having left their belongings behind in the night.  

FIELDS OF FRITH

  • Have to intro the new character Narinn, either in Warrenstone or having left and finding group on the road
  • Also have to stall a bit and then have Vrae and T'nin re-enter the group the next day
  • WAKE UP REALLY LATE - were not awoken by last watch members (they disappeared), also the strange land made them exceptionally sleepy (slept for around 11 hours)
  • Vrae and T'nin have been gone for about 5 HOURS.
  FOLLOWING VRAE AND T'NIN
  • Mak'Ti has dream of Raven Queen watching two ravens killing a rabbit with fangs
  • Bord first to wake up and realize others are gone, finds their trail, and Narinn heading toward camp
  • They meet Narinn, the Shifter, DA'Ath loves him because he's an artificer. Mak'Ti seems jealous
  • Da'ath insists on driving, has some trouble with the horses
  • Bord and Mak'Ti drive and follow the trail, roll very good PER and Animal Handling
  • Travel for most an entire day
  FINDING THEIR FRIENDS
  • T'nin takes the Holy Symbol from Vrae
  • Whole discussion about not running away like that, worry about what they might have done, if it is a Vampire
  • Shows group the map leading back to Lord C. in Winda
  • Learn T'nin was excellent champion for Vrae
  • Vrae makes final CHAR sav, has mastered her changes (minus nights of the Full Moon)
LONG REST (to Anarro 3rd)   ROAD BACK TO WARRENSTONE
  • In the night, Mak'Ti has dream of Raven Queen again, only now she is watching a rabbit with fangs kill two ravens
  • During watch, learn that Da'Ath is somehow an emissary for the RAVEN QUEEN, who is most displeased with Mak'Ti and Vrae
  • Da'ath blacks out when RQ is mentioned, and cannot remember her name or what is said through him
  • T'nin gets to know Narinn a little better, Narinn a little intimidated by him
  LONG REST (to Anarro 4th)  

WARRENSTONE

CAMP
  • Bord disguises Mark to look like an Orc (well done) including two rocks in his mouth to stop him from talking and making it look like he has tusks
STABLES   KUNICULAI WAR MEMORIAL
  • Learn the basics of the war from the Memorial and passerby, see words and symbols of ravens and begin to suspect Fate
  • T'nin tries to steal Holy Symbol and run for the Temple, Mak'Ti stops him, they all go to the temple together
  • Still plan on having the Cleric save Mark from Tiamat possession
  TEMPLE TO ARAWAI
  • Farneiros - Harengon F Cleric - Head of Temple to Arawai in Warrenstone  meets the group, is horrified they freed Lord Khonaheeto
  • Tells them of the Kunicalai War and the part the female Wereraven from the Shadowfell Kindness part had in trapping the Vampire Lord, and the promises from the Raven Queen that she would send 2 champions who could deal with the issue
  • Gives Mak'Ti A SPELL SCROLL OF DAYLIGHT LVL 3
  • Tells them they cannot call for Aid from other cities as all are preparing  for the Genasi War
  • Says Lord K. might be gathering info and amassing an army, might even leave for a place where he can gather forces in darkness, like Tremorfall (which is in the shadow of the Cambrey Mountains)
  • Speaks of Gods not wanting to enter or do business on Terus, that New Gods are but WARDENS and lesser Gods
  • She also gives the group as many stakes and holy water as they want
  • Says she will prepare the cleric forces to protect Warrenstone
  BOUNTY BOARD
  • Da'Ath leaves the temple, tired of the gloom and doom and heads for the Bounty Board to get new missions to make money
  Ends on Anarro 4th, afternoon, as Da'Ath examines bounty board and rest are still talking to Cleric in Temple.     NOTE - about 3 days after Anarro 2nd (when Lord Khonaheeto leaves Fields of Frith), they will be more cheery, less fog, less vermon, and less shadow weirdness)

POSSESSION SYSTEM FOR MARK

High Level Cleric needed to perform Greater Restoration in RITUAL to remove possession

  • Mark will need to make a WIS SAVING THROW DC 20 for it to work
  • Can be bolstered by others adding to ritual, and adding a Skill Check (DC 15 ) to bring down difficulty (encourage them to do things they are good at)
  • Cleric will roll RELIGION skill Check (+5)

If He Remains Possessed

  • Every 6 Days from first day of possession (Jamarro 24th) Mark needs to do a CON SAV Throw (DC 18) - no fails so far
  • If he fails, Tiamat will take possession of him more often. At 13 fails, he will be trapped in his body, as she controls him permanently

WERERAVEN TF

CON Saves (Full Moon)

On a FULL MOON, the afflicted character must succeed on a Constitution Saving Throw or suffer the Terror of the Night effects with a DC depending on whether the player chose to embrace or resist the curse.
  • Resist the curse - DC 20 Constitution Saving Throw (Both have advantage since they conquered TERROR OF THE NIGHT)
  • The curse is at its strongest whenever there is a Full Moon in the sky
  • DC 10 WIS Saving throw to remember the night if Transformed

For Next Session (review!!)

  • Bord's new book will have songs he recognizes, melodies and lyrics that are similar to the ones the Cult gave him, ancient songs used while worshipping deities that proceed the known gods
  • If Vrae and Mak'Ti remain Wereravens, will become EMISSARIES OF THE QUEEN, chosen by the Raven Queen to stop the coming darkness. See New Deities Coming to Domunz
  • Tibac the Tortle Druid says he will let Mak'Ti know, through Sending spell, if he finds anything more about Cults
  • MAK'TI got a LEVEL 3 SPELL SCROLL for DAYLIGHT from the Cleric in the Temple

ACTIVE MISSIONS

  • Courier Mission (Twin Falls to Tremorfall) - still need to bring package to Tremorfall, specifically to The Priceless Pidgeon Inn to the Tiefling bartender, Rikaria (old love-letters she wrote to Glarglib are inside)
