Venphyra's skin is a warm olive tone, marked by the bronze hue of her Thalori ancestry, while her hair falls dark and wavy, with auburn highlights catching the light in moments. Her striking emerald eyes hold a restless sharpness.

Personal history
Venphyra was born in Hornstadt, the child of a Novayan father she never knew and a Thalori mother who lived in seclusion. Her mother, one of the few Bronze Elves still in the North, urged her daughter toward scholarly pursuits, hoping to preserve their dwindling heritage through study of history, philosophy, and arcane lore.
But Venphyra’s spirit was restless. Stories of her Thalori ancestors, warrior-archons in bronze feared across the Mortal Interregnum, filled her with yearning for something beyond parchment and quiet halls.
In her youth, Venphyra befriended a middling sorceress who sought to uncover remnants of ancient elven magic. Invited into a ritual circle, Venphyra’s curiosity overcame her caution.
The rite went catastrophically wrong. Her friend’s death screams still haunt her, the ritual tearing her apart in pain before consuming her. Venphyra survived, but not alone. A voice lingered in her mind thereafter, dark and patient, speaking not in language but in intrusion. Whether this presence is a fragment of lost Thalori sorcery, a remnant of her friend’s destroyed soul, or something older and hungrier remains unknown.
Haunted by the ritual and seeking purpose, Venphyra travelled into Novaya, where she sold her sword as a Freeblade. After resolving a cult-orchestrated murder case in the city of Trigorod alongside a Frontiersmen rogue named Tobias, she was recruited as a Lantern-Hunter by the Order of the Burning Lantern.
